Spread the love

(Nov. 2, 2024) — Remember me,
When you walk along the way.
Remember me,
Though I can not sit and stay.
Long not for another year nor look to yesterday.
Just close your eyes, and in the gentle breeze, remember me.

Sit not too long beside death’s door,
Hoping for an hour more.
Be glad I’ve reached that Golden Shore;
Know I wait for whom I adore,
And, in your dreams, remember me.

Not too far, though not as close,
I’m with the Father, Son and Ghost.
Planning, waiting for the day,
That memory need not replay.
I’ll hold you then, once again,
And show you pleasures without end.

Until that day, live full, live free,
And, in the gentle breeze, remember me.
