The Manhattan Project 2.0

(May 31, 2024) — The “guilty” verdict yesterday in the quasi-Volksgerichtshof proceeding in Manhattan against President Trump is beyond outrageous.  It is proof that unprincipled prosecutors and the judges who enable them by disregarding the Constitution and the precepts of the rule of law have hijacked and commandeered the courts in Manhattan.  It was not only a sad day for “Lady Justice,” but more significantly, an ominous one for the Republic.

Specifically, the kabuki-theater kangaroo proceeding in downtown Manhattan – let us not burnish the event with the false label of anything resembling a fair “trial” – might well be described as the product of a judicial scheme patterned along the lines of the World War II “Manhattan Project.” That war effort, of course, culminated in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August, 1945, swiftly bringing the surrender of Japan and ending the war in the Pacific.

The kabuki-spasm in Judge Juan Merchan’s judicial abattoir in 2024, on the other hand, shared some similarities with the original Manhattan Project.  Let us label it the Manhattan Project 2.0.  Like the original war project, the goal was to destroy an enemy, by whatever new and novel way conceivable.  The admitted goal of Alvin (“No Neck”) Bragg was to destroy his perceived enemy, President Trump, by whatever means it took, the rule of law and the Constitution notwithstanding.  And Merchan should be disbarred and removed from the bench.

The original Manhattan Project was cloaked in secrecy.  Similarly, Bragg succeeded in conscripting a sympathetic and compromised “jurist” into the effort to silence President Trump from complaining about his treatment and the denial of his rights.  Merchan and Bragg must have delighted in gagging President Trump while running roughshod over his rights.

And while the original Manhattan Project accomplished the goal of ending World War II in the Pacific – a welcomed if controversial outcome – Manhattan Project 2.0 has the solitary goal of eradicating the rule of law and the principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights solely in order to accomplish its goal of destroying President Trump.

There is, of course, no expectation that the final result will be anything other than a reversal of the “conviction” on appeal.  Instead, the exclusive goal of the slug at 1600 and its sycophantic insects in the media is the opportunity to label President Trump as a “convicted felon” in the political parade leading up to November 5.  If this is not “election interference,” nothing is.

Memo to Bragg, Merchan and the electorate at large: the attempt to cripple President Trump will not work.  He will survive and emerge stronger than ever after this perversion of justice, much as did Japan after World War II.  The real question will be whether “No Neck” Bragg and Judge Merchan will experience the same recovery after President Trump takes office in January 2025.  

Let us hope not.
