(May 19, 2023) – On Friday as of 7:45 p.m., Mario Nawfal is hosting a “Twitter Space” discussion titled, “DeSantis to Run Against Trump | Who Gets the GOP Nomination?”

Anyone can join the session here.

At present, several attendees are discussing whether Trump or DeSantis, who is serving his second term as governor of Florida, handled the COVID-19 pandemic more effectively.

Last year, as he campaigned for his second term, DeSantis took a very public stand against vaccine mandates, and along with his surgeon general, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, recommended against children five years old and younger receiving the mRNA shots, the safety of which Ladapo has questioned of the CDC.

At 7:56 p.m., the exchange became heated as two Floridians discussed, and one recalled, that Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who has said he has not “ruled out” running for president in 2024, in January 2021 had complained “that Gov. Ron DeSantis won’t let him lock down Miami.”

He also posted a screenshot citing Trump as having praised former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for dealing with the medical crisis “better than DeSantis.”

Some were critical of DeSantis’s handling of the conflict with The Walt Disney Company, which had acquired governmental autonomy in its Orlando-area location through legislation passed in the ’60s but DeSantis is working to rescind.

On Thursday, Disney announced it would not move forward with a planned $1 billion project which would have created 2,000 new jobs.

  1. Heaven forbid: Will Donald J. Trump get “primaried” by getting “deep-sixed” by and from the “deep-state” prior to the 2024 elections?

    1. Trump for me…also.

The Dems and MSM have already thrown the kitchen sink at Trump…not only to no avail but, moreover with the Durham Report, to their self-inflicted loss of belief by the majority of Americans.

Although DeSantis’ policies are pretty much the same as Trump’s, he has yet come under similar attack by the Dems and MSM.
