(May 18, 2023) — Close-up video footage of a group of illegal aliens whose entry into the U.S. was reportedly facilitated by “cartels” reveals the majority of individuals hailing from Egypt and other countries in Africa, Ben Bergquam of americasvoice.news reported Wednesday on TruthSocial.

Bergquam has been reporting from the border for more than a week coinciding with the expiration of Title 42, which had allowed the United States to quickly repatriate illegal aliens based on the declared COVID-19 public health emergency.

In an attempt to remain under cover, Bergquam began his video commentary in a whisper, eventually approaching the illegals, who were walking briskly or running in a line along a tall border structure, reportedly guided by cartel members.

Bergquam eventually approached the individuals, most of whom were young, single men, to ask in Spanish from whence they came. While many did not respond or said they spoke no English, others responded with, “Egypt.” Some said they hailed from Mauritania and other African countries, while one said he had come from Iran. Bergquam held up a misplaced copy of the Quran, apparently validating the entry of individuals from Islamic countries.

The video then shows the illegals on the U.S. side of the border lining up to board buses despite, as Bergquam noted, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s claim that “the border is secure.”

Additional reporting is found on Bergquam’s personal website, FrontlineAmerica.com, his TruthSocial account and on the “Law & Border” broadcast at americasvoice.news.

Raised in California’s Central Valley by two Christian missionary parents who spent a decade in Africa, Bergquam holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, launched the Central Valley Tea Party and worked in politics prior to stepping into citizen journalism. He describes himself as “a Christian conservative husband, father, son, and brother who loves this country and the values it was founded on. I am an unashamed, politically incorrect, social conservative that believes that abortion is murder, homosexuality is what the bible says it is, there are only two genders and you don’t get to pick.”

Bergquam’s Rumble channel features video posted Wednesday from the San Ysidro Port of Entry depicting a conversation between Bergquam and a Nigerian illegal who said he “landed in Tijuana and came right through” after completing a “CBP One application.”

Others said they came from Honduras, Sudan, Peru, and Angola. Some did not wish to be on camera, while a woman Bergquam said worked for the sponsoring organization Jewish Family Services advised the illegals not to speak with him because he “was being rude.”

Bergquam later explained that the facilitation between such organizations and the “CBP One app” lends the patina of legality to the importation of illegals from all over the world, after which “they send that problem to your neighborhood.”
