(Feb. 13, 2023) — Regarding the AP story here, where have we Americans heard that (downed objects believed to be balloons) before? ROSWELL. Those darned old weather balloons, flying over our countryside again and scaring the heck out of us!
Sen. Schumer apparently “believes” the objects are balloons. Hopefully, we have enough military and national defense capability to identify with certainty (not just with “beliefs”) what these trespassers in our airspace are, who is operating them, and for what purpose before we get the proverbial itchy trigger finger and commit an “Alec Baldwin!”
To me, all of this sounds like a premature and potentially dangerous shooting down (three times, and there were other objects which inexplicably disappeared off of radar) of a perceived (or should I say, “misperceived,”) threat. Sen. Schumer said he “believes” they were balloons, but one can only imagine who his “sources” were! On the other hand, though, I contend that these sightings could be some sort of peaceful exploratory mission being conducted by ET’s. You can laugh all you want, but I am serious. Our government could (but won’t) tell you about that. Furthermore, our country and the idiotic, divisive, and woke things going on in it are ripe for a reconnaissance mission.
Bottom Line: Shooting these objects down without knowing (so far, only “believing”) what and who they are seems like arguably random attacks as opposed to maintaining a peaceful and cautiously defensive posture backed up by sound intelligence.
And, don’t forget to keep the American people (and people of the world) informed with the truth. I’m guessing that we have the right and the need to know!
