(Jan. 5, 2023) — My wife, who refuses to take the so-called Covid-19 “vaccine” and also encouraged me not to take it (advice which I unfortunately did not follow, and am experiencing what I believe are “long Covid” effects, albeit mild ones, a year and one-half later), told me about the below YouTube video.  It is EXCELLENT.  No doubt some of you will find it controversial, but the presentation and content of the video are timely and EXCELLENT.

The video is in response to the tragic “injury” which occurred on Monday night to NFL football player Damar Hamlin.  The occurrence is discussed by renowned cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough.  It should be noted that, despite his unquestionable expertise and achievements, Dr. McCullough has been widely accused of spreading “disinformation” about the mRNA Covid-19 vaccines.  My opinion is that Dr. McCullough has a First Amendment right to speak out and be heard.  In fact, we should WANT TO HEAR what he has to say.  Why is our society so focused on and/or so threatened by words which some are quick to label “disinformation” and “conspiracy theories”?

No matter what you and I conclude about Dr. McCullough, let us agree that Damar Hamlin, in addition to being a great football player, is an exceptional human being and an inspiration to all of us.  He is a special young man (age 24) with a bright future ahead of him, whether that is in professional football, coaching, humanitarian causes, being a teacher, or some other type of example to follow, etc.  Continue to pray for Damar.

With all due respect and prayers for Damar Hamlin and his family, let us all also agree that the almost 2,000,000+ members of our military who, ever since 4 July 1776, have paid the price of freedom were exceptional human beings, inspirations to all of us, and gave up their bright futures for ours.

Let us additionally agree that their families, Gold Star families, remember and grieve over the loss of their loved ones every day. And, based upon years of personal meetings with Gold Star families, I will tell you that their prime concern is that their loved ones never be forgotten by the rest of us.

National polls/surveys indicate that barely 30% of Americans know the true meaning of Memorial Day and that barely 25% of that barely 30% engage in meaningful activity. Let us therefore further agree that Memorial Day has become more a day for BBQing than remembering those who paid the price of our freedom to do so.

Therefore let us agree that beginning Memorial Day 2023, every Memorial Day thereafter, and better yet every day, each of us does something to honor and remember America’s military Fallen Heroes and their families.
