Dear Editor,

Mark Knight’s cartoon (HS, 25/8) brilliantly illustrated the putrid-mouthed, bad sport, and spitter-towards-spectators Australian tennis Nick Kyrgios’ mealy-mouthed hypocrisy when facing a court of law. The only problem was Knight’s “our Nick” wording, because I’m darn sure so many other Aussies, along with this writer, would not consider Kyrgios “our Nick” – ever!

Nor would we ever consider saying “our Dayne” after Brisbane Lions’ captain Dayne Zorko’s inexcusable, derogatory sledge about the mother of a young opposition player, reducing him (not the vile Zorko!) to tears – as no provocation should ever lead to the attack upon a mother (especially in the sporting arena)!
