(Feb. 20, 2022) — A peaceful protest of COVID-19 restrictions and mandates organized by “American truckers and allies” has announced its planned route and timeline for making its way across the country beginning Wednesday, February 23.
The truckers will travel from California to the Washington, DC area beginning at Adelanto Stadium and concluding just outside the nation’s capital on March 5, according to the official press release.
The “message” of the effort, the release states, is to “re-open the country” by returning to pre-pandemic life, to include “lifting all mandates and ending the state of emergency.”
On Friday, the Biden White House renewed the state of emergency in a letter to the House of Representatives and Senate President stating, in part:
There remains a need to continue this national emergency. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the Nation. More than 900,000 people in this Nation have perished from the disease, and it is essential to continue to combat and respond to COVID-19 with the full capacity and capability of the Federal Government.
Therefore, I have determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared in Proclamation 9994 concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.
Conversely, according to the truckers’ group, “COVID is well-in-hand now, and Americans need to get back to work in a free and unrestricted manner.”
Media coverage will be provided by Children’s Health Defense (CHD) TV, The Epoch Times, Newsmax, and others, the press release states.
According to the organization’s website, as of midday Sunday, more than $165,000 has been raised to support the effort.

Well over 2000 people a day are dying from COVID in the United States alone; the American trucker’s “well-in-hand” statement does not seem particularly accurate.

Regardless, over 2000 people a day are dying from COVID in the United States. 2000 people aren’t dying each day from the flu.
So “well at hand” is clumsy at best.

As the convoy is based on a false premise, that COVID is well in hand, it is doomed to failure.
Because COVID isn’t well in hand, people continue to expect the government to continue with measures to attempt to curb its death toll.
For example, the truckers’ occupation in Canada did not change any of Canada’s COVID policies.
How do you know if these persons died from COVID or a co-morbidity?

You want me to talk to two random people, yet you continue not to explain why I should. Hardly motivating.
That’s not a whole truth. Many are dying from complications after receiving the shot but were within 2wks of vaccination. You’re not considered vaccinated upon injection. Also, we should all be asking ourselves why no govt official wants to talk about natural supplements that help your body combat a germ, and they are out there! You may not evade the germ, but your reaction to it will be less severe.
If it isn’t the whole truth that over 2000 people a day in the United States are dying from COVID, subject to the site owner’s approval, you may present evidence to the contrary.
If mask, vaccine, booster, social-distancing and lockdown mandates actually did what they were mandated to do, 0 people a day in the United States would be dying from COVID.
Who ever said those measures were guaranteed to be completely effective? Especially when their effectiveness relies on people employing them.
Regardless, over 2000 COVID deaths a day in the United States is not “well in hand.”
None of those things are 100% effective, even when everyone does them, and large swathes of the population refuse to do them. It is incontrovertible that most of the people hospitalized with severe cases of COVID are those who refuse the vaccine. Do you have an alternative explanation why they are so lucky? Also, isn’t one of the usual talking points that no one dies from COVID, only with COVID?
It is well-established that COVID reinfection is possible. The death numbers are sharply lower since the vaccinations began. If the vaccines, masks, social distancing, and lockdown don’t work, and prior COVID infection doesn’t prevent you from getting sick again, why are the deaths dropping like that? People snacking on their dogs’ Heartgard pills?
The reason you are not considered vaccinated immediately upon injection is that the body needs time to respond to the immune stimulus provided by the vaccination, and this takes time to reach full effect. This is not a unique feature of the COVID vaccinations — it is true of all vaccinations.
As for “many dying after receiving the shot”, this is true of any vaccination program that encompasses most of the population. The reason for that is simple — many people die every day, and some of them will have recently gotten vaccinated. Many of them will also have taken a walk, brushed their teeth, read a book, eaten lunch, etc. In almost none of those cases will those actions have been the proximate cause of their death, merely coincidental, and so it is with the vaccinations. Actually getting COVID kills a much higher percentage of the population than the vaccine, even if you accept the wildest claims of the anti-vaccine groups.
