(Aug. 22, 2021) — Tropical Storm Henri is causing heavy rain and rising winds on the Connecticut shoreline, particularly in Stonington and New London, and has changed direction slightly to head northwest toward Hartford.
New London is under a flash flood warning currently, Fox 61 is reporting.
Landfall is expected at about 1:00 p.m.
According to Gov. Ned Lamont (D), significant flooding is expected in western Connecticut.
Power and cable services are expected to be affected by the storm.
