(May 15, 2021) — In a post on Saturday, 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump commented on the discovery by Arizona State Senate Republicans that the main Maricopa County database from the November 3, 2020 general election is “deleted,” according to a letter State Senate President Karen Fann wrote to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday.
Trump issued the statement on the “Desk” section of his political website, donaldjtrump.com, which serves as a venue for him to communicate with supporters given that such social-media giants as Twitter, Facebook, and Google/YouTube banned him in January following the “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on the sixth.
Fann’s findings stem from a forensic audit commissioned by her Republican colleagues of all 2.1 million ballots cast in the county, Arizona’s largest, which has been challenged from its inception by Democrat groups and law firms claiming it to be in violation of state and federal election laws.
In February, subpoenas issued by the state senate were upheld by a county superior court judge, and, according to Fann, the Board of Supervisors failed to comply.
In her letter, Fann cited three major concerns arising from the Supervisors’ response to the subpoenas and requested their “assistance and cooperation” in providing the missing information and answering her questions.
In addition to the county’s refusal to provide passwords to “vote tabulation devices,” Fann claimed that ballot counts completed during the audit often did not match the number of ballots recorded on each box in which they were stored following the election.
The third major area of concern focused on the missing database, described by Fann as “deleted.” On page 3, she wrote:
We have recently discovered that the entire “Database” directory from the D drive of the machine “EMSPrimary” has been deleted. This removes election related details that appear to have been covered by the subpoena. In addition, the main database for the Election Management System (EMS) Software, “Results Tally and Reporting,” is not located anywhere on the EMSPrimary machine, even though all of the EMS Clients reference that machine as the location of the database. This suggests that the main database for all election related data for the November 2020 General Election has been removed. Can you please advise as to why these folders were deleted, and whether there are any backups that may contain the deleted folders?
In his commentary, Trump depicted Fann and her colleagues as “up in arms” over the missing database:
The entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the Forensic Audit, is up in arms. Additionally, seals were broken on the boxes that hold the votes, ballots are missing, and worse…
He opined that Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich “will now be forced to look into this unbelievable Election crime.”
Further, he wrote:
Many Radical Left Democrats and weak Republicans are very worried about the fact that this has been exposed. The DELETION of an entire Database and critical Election files of Maricopa County is unprecedented. Many other States to follow.
As he frequently did throughout his presidency, Trump criticized the media for its silence on the outcome of the election amid claims from what was said to be thousands of registered voters who claimed in sworn affidavits and testimony were widespread election irregularities.
On Thursday during an interview with ousted Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY), revmoed from her role by a vote of House Republicans on Wednesday, Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier declared Trump’s claims of an election victory to be “false,” in essence agreeing in essence with Cheney’s assertion that Trump is promoting “the Big Lie” that he, and not Biden, won on November 3.
Many consumers of news opined that FNC provided biased coverage of the election’s aftermath and precipitately declared Biden to have won Arizona while approximately 600,000 votes remained to be counted in Maricopa County and other locations. On Election Night, Baier himself asked “Decision Desk” consultant Arnon Mishkin to explain his early call for Biden in Arizona.
“The Mainstream Media and Radical Left Democrats want to stay as far away as possible from the Presidential Election Fraud, which should be one of the biggest stories of our time,” Trump continued in Saturday’s commentary. “Fox News is afraid to cover it—there is rarely a mention. Likewise, Newsmax has been virtually silent on this subject because they are intimidated by threats of lawsuits. One America News (OAN), one of the fastest growing networks on television, and the ‘hottest’, is doing a magnificent job of exposing the massive fraud that took place. The story is only getting bigger and at some point it will be impossible for the weak and/or corrupt media not to cover. Thank you to OAN and other brave American Patriots. It is all happening quickly!”
In an earlier comment Saturday, Trump berated the media for its “dishonesty” and what he said was purposefully inaccurate polling prior to the election. “The polls were a joke. I won States in a landslide that I was predicted to lose days before the election,” he asserted. “Other states had me purposely so far down that it would force people, even fans, to say ‘Let’s stay home Darling. We love our President, but he can’t win.’ And then I would win those states or at least come very close…”
He went on to opine that “The 2020 Presidential Election was, by far, the greatest Election Fraud in the history of our Country. The good news is, the American people get it and the truth is rapidly coming out!…”
Trump’s initial early-afternoon comment was shorter than those which followed, stating, “As our Country is being destroyed, both inside and out, the Presidential Election of 2020 will go down as THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY!”
