Dear Friends and Colleagues:
Lt. General Michael Flynn is a true patriot and war hero. Because he knew too much he was viciously and falsely accused of serious crimes and was forced to spend fortunes on lawyers to represent him against endless deep pockets of the federal prosecutorial apparatus. When the Trump administration’s Justice Department correctly dropped all charges against this good man, the stubborn Democrat-appointed judge in D.C. refused to close the case – needlessly extending the misery, mental torture and fortunes of this fine hero and entirely innocent man. To defend himself against false charges, he lost his home, his savings, his job, and copped a plea to a minor charge only to prevent the legal apparatus from going after his son.
President Trump pardoned Flynn and at last the “judge” dropped the charges and ended the (mis)trial! But, although vindicated belatedly, Flynn should be restored to name and fortune, somehow. Can we – or those with means and know-how – somehow show our appreciation for Flynn’s career, bravery, and good name – by chipping in to some sort of “GoFundMe” or something even better to restore his fortune along with his dignity – to make him whole, if you will, for the false trial and tribulations he suffered and their impact on his estate?
I and many others, I am certain, would be willing to kick in a couple of “C” notes. Can anyone help?
And just for the record, I have never met nor worked for Lt. General Flynn before, during, or after my 31 years of service in our armed forces. I simply want to acknowledge that America can right its wrongs to those it inadvertently harms. Can we join together somehow to make this happen?
