(Nov. 12, 2020) — Late Wednesday night, President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, tweeted that the campaign is gaining “evidence of fraud” which he said “is pouring in at an overwhelming pac’e” [sic].
“This was a massive effort by Crooked Democrats to wipe out the vote of those they believe are inferior to them….DEPLORABLES . CHUMPS,” he continued.
Giuliani’s claims were followed by Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis, who on Thursday morning said on Newsmax TV that the evidence the campaign has received in recent days is “really significant” and indicates widespread fraud in the November 3 elections. Although it normally takes months to assemble such a case, Ellis said, more information will be “coming in the next couple of days.”
Since the “calling” by the media of a number of “swing” states for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on November 4, President Trump has insisted he won the election and has not conceded.
On Saturday, the media declared Biden the “projected winner” of the 2020 presidential election despite the ongoing counting of ballots in Arizona, Alaska, and Georgia, the latter of which announced it will conduct a hand recount of the entire state.
For his part, Biden has claimed the “Office of the President-Elect” and reportedly begun assembling national-security and coronavirus task forces as well as speaking with foreign leaders in anticipation of a transfer of power on January 20, 2021.
At a press event on Tuesday, when asked about the State Department ‘s role in a smooth transfer of power, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated, apparently with confidence, that he believed there would be a “second Trump administration.”
Some have raised the possibility that machines manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems widely used on Election Day were breached to alter possibly hundreds of thousands of votes, to which The New York Times pushed back on Wednesday night, calling the claims of possible fraud “baseless.”
On Wednesday night, The Post & Email contacted Dominion to ask for comment on the subject of its equipment vulnerability to breaching and will report if and when a response is received. Dominion has established a page on its website titled, “Election 2020: Setting the record straight: Facts versus Rumors.”
On Thursday morning, Giuliani tweeted a link to a new broadcast in which he contends that the campaign is aware of “a significant amount of evidence of rampant fraud” in the election, particularly in Pennsylvania and Michigan. “The evidence in both states is overwhelming,” he said (1:40).
Also on Wednesday night, founder of “Students for Trump” and member of “Turning Point for Action” Ryan Fournier tweeted that “Whistleblowers from Dominion have come forward. Big News. Trump was right all along.”
Last week, Fox News reported it found “no evidence” of Republican poll-watchers having been excluded from observing ballot returns, but Giuliani said in his new video that “affidavits” received and filed in a new lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Trump v. Boockvar, allege that “well over 3,000 ballots went through” in a Philadelphia ward “without observation” from Republicans or Democrats (7:14).
“Under the law of Pennsylvania, that is an unlawful ballot,” Giuliani said.
Ballots were also separated from the envelopes in which they arrived, he said. “This happened…in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh well over 600,000 times.”
