The World is Upside-Down

WINTER’S STING APPEARS A MONTH INTO SPRING

by Sharon Rondeau

(Apr. 18, 2020) — An unusually warm and virtually snowless winter led to an early spring, but it was short-lived.  With temperatures in the 40s and 50s through most of January, February, and March, the month of April has had some unwelcome surprises.

What a difference six days makes!

A bizarre combination of flowers in bloom under falling snow leads one to ask, “What is going on?  Where are we in time?”

Under the mantle of snow are dandelions which, despite the cold on Friday, were open.  How much cold can they survive?

The weather, and the world, are upside-down.
