“Which version do you want?”
“What you got?”
“The Navy version; the pretend version; the ‘sounds-good’ version; the believable version; or my version.”
“What’s your version based on?”
“All the above plus a few comments; a little editorializing; what I really think.”
“Then I’ll take the Navy version and won’t believe a word of it.”
“What’s wrong with my version?”
“It’ll taint my judgment, that’s why. Let’s say you have a negative slant on it: well, then, maybe I will, too. Or maybe you’ll think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, or even M&M’s, so I’ll go along. See, if I hear the Navy’s version then I’ll know I’m being lied to and feel that I’ve made the right decision.”
“So you’re telling me no matter whatever version you hear you won’t believe a word of it? How’d that happen?”
“It started in Boot Camp. First of all, why get up when it’s still dark? I’m not a farmer milking cows. Let me ask you something: did you ever see a cow in Boot Camp?”
“Let me think about it. No, now that you mention it, I didn’t see any cows.”
“See, you made my point. And then there’s the marching; don’t they know how to walk? And this attention routine; if they want me to listen then they could ask, like, ‘Mr. Neal, excuse me; sorry to have to bother you, but would you please listen to what I have to say; I mean, if that’s okay with you?”
“You’re kidding?”
“Partially.”
“What about Trump’s speech the other day, when he said that Iran’s terrorizing the world was at an end?”
“So Iran has, what, 80 million Muslims who have been taught to hate the Jews, and their parents have been taught to hate the Jews and all the other non-believers, so all of a sudden they’re going to love us? I don’t think so.”
“But that was the beauty of the speech. Either they get with the program or they’re toast.”
“So there’s none of this ‘dishonor premeditated murder’ nonsense anymore? They’ll embrace bikinis and mini-skirts, pork chops and ice cream cones that they’ll be able to eat because there won’t be any veils; Mississippi Delta Blues and Jimi Hendrix?”
“Well, maybe not all at once.”
“Look, Trump took them to the woodshed and showed them the strap. It’s their choice: behave like civilized people or leave life; he made it that clear.”
“But will they listen?”
“Nope, and that’s why we’re here. Do you know we know where Iran’s leaders are 24-7?”
“How’s that done?”
“Easy. Everybody has unique fingerprints, right? Well, everybody has a unique EMS: Electro-Magnetic Signature, too, so unless they wear a lead coat, hat, gloves and shoes we can detect them. In that case, they’d die of lead poisoning pretty quick anyway.”
“No way.”
“We have satellites that can read a license plate from outer space.”
“I knew that.”
“But did you know our deployment just got extended another six months?”
“The Navy version?”
“You got it.”

[*skinny: the truth or a version of the truth, usually true but maybe not. The lower the person is on the totem pole the more likely he’ll hear the truth, where those at the top of the totem pole, such as Generals and Admirals, hear only what they want to hear, usually political correctness and toeing the party line. It’s the successful commander who listens to the troops; the successful Captain who listens to the crew; and the successful politician who listens to the voters, which leaves all the Democratic candidates out-to-lunch: we don’t want any illegal immigrants in our country; we don’t want any sanctuary city; and we don’t want one anchor baby. Heck, we don’t even want Ilhan Omar in our country, now, do we?]
[Comment by OPOVV: as long as the hatred for the Jews and Christians continues, there will be worldwide murders committed by Muslims in the name of ignorance, stupidity and selfishness, as if their world outlook is the only choice any of us has or will ever have, resulting in the death to freedom of speech and thought. The NAZIs had their unmitigated belief that “Jewish Science” was somehow wrong, and Islam is repeating the stupidity in their treatment of women as second-class citizens being denied the same educational and career opportunities afforded to men. Also, the irrational inhumane treatment of animals by Muslims leaves one to ponder why all Muslims aren’t locked up in asylums.]
