Barbara Green Interview: Anastasia Romanov, Mike Tyson, Froebel/Waldorf Education & More

(Sep. 3, 2019) — Artist Barbara Green, nee Korr/Kur with author, gallery director J (Johannes) Froebel-Parker, appeared with host, Garrett Roche, on The Monday Morning Program at (90.7 FM in Hudson, NY), Labor Day 2019 to discuss Mrs. Green’s art, her portraits of Mike Tyson, Anastasia Romanov, HSH Princess Ekaterina Ivanovna Konstantinova, and her newest undertaking, Rabbi Yitzak Katzenellebogen Luria (the Ari-zal, founder of Kabbalah).

Co-guest Patrice Maynard of Waldorf (School) Publishing spoke insightfully of Waldorf education principles and their basis in the teachings of Thuringian educator, Friedrich Wilhelm August Froebel, in the family of the gallery director.

Anastasia Romanov research enthusiast, Victoria Signorelli, offered her insight into the claims of aka “Evgenia Smetisko” that she was, indeed, Grand Duchess Anastasia Nicholaevna Romanov of Russia.

Editrix of The Post & Email online newspaper, Sharon Rondeau, called in from Connecticut with the story of the escape of her maternal relatives from the Bolshevik Revolution as well as the genocide experienced by her paternal Armenian ancestors.

At 1:07:00 in the archive, Barbara and Froebel-Parker begin to delve into the story behind painting Mike Tyson, Anastasia, and Princess Ekaterina, as well as a new project to create a portrait of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna Romanova, Grand Duchess von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, as well as her nearly completed portrait of Jewish mystical rabbi, the Ari-zal, from whose family Barbara descends.
