“IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY”

(Jul. 26, 2019) — The vast majority of Americans are befuddled by Washington’s refusal to address the ongoing and worsening invasion of hundreds of thousands of unskilled, illiterate, diseased, and often criminal illegals streaming into America.
Conservative pundits would have us believe that the Democrats want open borders to usher in hundreds of thousands (or millions) of future Democrat voters. Sure, that’s a factor, but there’s more — MUCH MORE.
The reason boils down to MONEY! Hold that thought.
The Chamber of Commerce all but openly advocates for open borders. So, too, does the Democrat Party. Even many Republicans secretly want open borders, even if they won’t openly say so. Why would they do that? Well, the Chamber represents business, not workers. And, businesses are the single largest contributors/donors to political campaign funds. It’s a symbiotic relationship between the Chamber of Commerce, businesses, and politicians.
The single biggest cost in any business is labor. Anything that can keep labor costs low is good for the business.
The unemployment rate is at its lowest in almost 50 years, meaning that businesses have to offer higher wages to get employees. But, the presence of hundreds of thousands of illegals serves to keep wages from rising faster than they already are (thanks to Trump’s economy). It’s called competition or supply and demand. Business and the Chamber of Commerce love it (and politicians literally couldn’t care less one way or the other as long as they get re-elected).
This is especially true in trades such as roofing, landscaping, restaurants, common laborers, agriculture, food processing, animal husbandry, the service industry, etc. It is not uncommon to find only Spanish speakers working in any of these trades, trades that have traditionally provided living wages for Americans. Increasingly, Americans are being crowded out of these jobs. This is beginning to bleed into other areas as well. Consider all the foreigners granted work visas. They often work for pay that is well below what would be offered to an American. As a condition of receiving the work visa, the recipient MUST work ONLY for the hiring (sponsoring) company or business. He/she CANNOT change jobs without losing the visa and being sent home (think Disney).
Then there’s the fact that many employers (more than you would suspect) actually prefer illegals over Americans. Think about it. If an employer hires an illegal, the employer doesn’t have to pay minimum wage, track income tax, pay into Social Security, contribute to unemployment compensation, provide health insurance, allow sick leave, pay overtime, or even give days off, all of which are major labor expenses. Often, illegals don’t officially exist on the employer’s books. All the employer has to do is throw a little cash at the illegal at the end of the day/week and pocket the profit.
Who is the illegal going to complain to, the government? Yeah, right!
This is essentially modern-day slavery! The Chamber of Commerce and Washington politicians are fine with it!
This is the primary reason no one in Fortress Washington wants the border secured, REGARDLESS of the long-term ramifications for America. It’s all about the money!
Funny I never see any muslims or illegals homeless and sleeping in parks, on sidewalks, in alleys, etc. I tried to rent an apt at a SHAG building which is for low income, elderly folks and they told me I needed a cosigner since my credit is bad. (student loans)
So do these illegals & muslims bring their credit score with them, how do they end up in homes and we AMERICANS that were born here, end up on the streets, with no agency to give us a helping hand. BS is what it is!!!!
Just read how the US spent over 200 mil on diapers, snacks, etc for the illegals on the southern border. HOW MANY APTS WOULD THAT HAVE BUILT FOR OUR HOMELESS VETERANS????

Maybe Linda Goudsmit will do a Humanitarian Hoax on E-VERIFY, which was peddled by President Reagan circa 1986 as a system to control/limit illegal aliens in USA. Turns out that system is MOSTLY VOLUNTARY and, I read, the overwhelming majority of private sector employers don’t use it.

Yes, and while companies are getting their slave labor and paying them under the table the tax payers are still providing these illegals with all kinds of handouts. So we get cheated twice. They take our jobs and we continue to pay for them.
