(Jul. 28, 2018) — On her Saturday night show, “Justice,” host Judge Jeanine Pirro broke the news that President Trump’s attorney, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, told Fox News Saturday night that a recording released or leaked to CNN last week allegedly of former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen and Trump discussing a financial payout to an individual claiming to have had a sexual relationship with Trump has been found by experts to have been altered in some way.
Giuliani told Pirro at the opening of her show that he suspects Cohen and his new attorney, Lanny Davis, leaked the recording to CNN while suggesting that it was assembled after the fact rather than recorded at the time Cohen and Trump purportedly had the conversation.
Pirro delayed her customary “open” to air Giuliani’s approximately four-minute live remarks about the recording.
After CNN played the recording, many in the mainstream media pounced on it as possible evidence that Trump was involved in illegal activity such as campaign finance law violations. However, the contents of the recording are arguably unclear as to their significance.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing. Although coming to Cohen’s defense after an April 9 raid on his home, office and hotel room, Trump and Cohen are now apparently at odds.
Davis is a long-time Democrat operative, pundit and Clinton associate.
On April 27, 2011, an image purported to represent Barack Hussein Obama’s “long-form” birth certificate was uploaded to the White House website. Later declared a forgery by a five-year criminal investigation and two outside experts, no FBI or congressional probe has ever been launched.
