(May 29, 2018) — On his Tuesday night show, Sean Hannity announced in his “opening monologue” that he will be hosting two former Trump campaign advisers who were approached by Stefan Halper, retired Cambridge University professor who served as an “informant” to the FBI.

Those individuals are Carter Page and Sam Clovis.

Hannity will also again be hosting former Trump campaign aide Michael Caputo, who said on May 21 that he is certain that more than one informant was utilized by the FBI, as he claimed to have been approached by a different individual and offered Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Caputo has appeared several times on “Hannity.”

On Monday, The Washington Examiner reported that Clovis claimed that in retrospect, he believes Halper contacted him by email in order to gain access to campaign aide George Papadopoulos, whose reported conversation in a bar with Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer allegedly led to the opening of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign.

Clovis reportedly met with Halper at Halper’s request at a Washington, DC-area hotel and believed the encounter to be inconsequential.

Page was a volunteer foreign-policy adviser whose communications were monitored after DOJ and FBI officials obtained warrants from the FISA court between October 2016 and June 2017 using the Russia “dossier” compiled by Briton and former MI6 agent Christopher Steele.

None of the three former Trump aides has been charged with a crime.

At 9:29 p.m., Hannity asked his first guests, investigative reporter Sara Carter and Fox News Legal Analyst Gregg Jarrett, if anyone ever “asked Wikileaks” where they “got Hillary Clinton’s emails,” referring to thousands of messages published by WikiLeaks between July 2016 and early November 2016.  WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has claimed that he did not receive them from any “state party,” including Russia, although the U.S. intelligence community has reportedly insisted that Russia was responsible for breaching the DNC server, stealing the emails and providing them to WikiLeaks.

It has been established that the FBI never examined the DNC server.

During their appearances, Sara Carter and Jarrett focused on the Special Counsel investigation of alleged Russian influence on the 2016 election and whether or not anyone in the Trump campaign “colluded” with the Kremlin.
