“THERE MIGHT BE A SECOND SPY”

by Sharon Rondeau

James R. Clapper was Obama’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI)

(May 21, 2018) — On Monday night’s 9:00 p.m. “Hannity” show, host Sean Hannity predicted that Obama’s CIA Director, John Brennan; his Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper; and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, among others, are “about to be exposed” for their alleged involvement in “spying on the Trump campaign.”

In his opening statement, Hannity summarized the emerging confirmation that at least one “informant” initiated contacts with members of the 2016 Trump campaign.

Of Brennan, Clapper and Yates, Hannity said, “They all are deeply implicated” in the apparent plot to sabotage Trump’s chances of winning the presidency, something which took the Democrats completely by surprise on Election Day 2016.

At 9:15 p.m., Hannity said that the DOJ Inspector General’s expected report on the Clinton email investigation should be released within a few weeks.

He also recapped an article published Monday by journalist Sara A. Carter about the FISA documents requested by members of Congress which the DOJ has refused to provide to them. A 3:00 p.m. meeting Monday among Trump and members of the intel community at the White House concerned those documents, among other items, and was apparently scheduled before Trump issued his “demand” on Sunday that an investigation take place into the alleged “spying” on his campaign.

Four FISA applications were completed by Rosenstein, former FBI Director James Comey, former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew G. McCabe, with Rosenstein signing the final application in June 2017 after Trump took office.  The applications asked the FISA court for a warrant to surveille then-Trump campaign adviser between October 2016 and September of last year.

Following today’s 3:00 p.m. meeting, Chief of Staff John Kelly was said to be scheduling a meeting among congressmen and members of the intel community, to include Rosenstein, to arrange to make the classified documents available to “Congressional Leaders.”

On Sunday Rosenstein agreed to have the DOJ’s inspector general investigate the allegations of an informant in the Trump campaign.

Democrats have objected to Trump’s “demand” and claimed that Trump is overstepping his authority over the Justice Department.

McCabe, Yates, and Comey have all been fired.

At 9:31 p.m., Hannity asked Wall Street Journal Editorial Board member Kimberley Strassel, who first reported, on May 10, that there likely was an informant dispatched to interact with members of the Trump campaign, “There might be a second spy?”

Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz said during the same segment that he believes that Rosenstein is “totally conflicted” and said that on Tuesday, certain congressmen were going to be voting on a “resolution” for a second special counsel.

Strassel said that she believes Trump should “declassify” all of the documents associated with the FISA applications after Congress reviews them.

During a later segment, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said he believes that Barack Obama was aware of the plot to surveille the Trump campaign.  “Those people were so corrupt and so arrogant that they thought they could get away with anything,” he said.
