(Mar. 30, 2017) — Bridgeport, CT – The City of Bridgeport will be joining national public health leaders across the country to celebrate National Public Health Week. Bridgeport’s Department of Health and Social Services will kick off National Public Health Week on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. with a presentation and proclamation. National Public Health Week is an annual observance in April that recognizes the contributions and value of public health in protecting and improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. This year, National Public Health week will be observed April 3 through April 9, 2017. The national theme this year is “Healthiest Nation 2030”.
