FOR THEIR COURAGEOUS ACTION IN VOTING DOWN RYANCARE

March 30, 2017

Dear President Trump:

I am amazed that you do not recognize that the members of the House Freedom Caucus did YOU a BIG FAVOR by not allowing the disastrous Ryancare bill  to get passed.  That bill did NOT REPEAL Obamacare and it had lots of other major problems — in addition to costing more money than Obamacare.

The HFC members saved you from having your name affixed to that losing bill.  It would have been a millstone hung around your neck and it would have been known as Trumpcare.

Now you will have time to develop a winning bill that will be much better than Ryancare for all Americans.  You need to know who your true friends are.

And now you’ve gone on record saying that you will work against the HFC members in the 2018 elections?  You need to ask your close advisers how they perceive things.  The members of the HFC are probably the very best folks in the Republican Party. You really do need to refocus and rethink this matter.  Try talking with Ben Carson and Rand Paul and Ted Cruz and your family members and inner circle members.  You now have a second chance to get this very important healthcare policy right. There is NO RUSH to get it wrong.

Thank God that He didn’t allow you to sign on the Ryancare.  It would have been a colossal mistake which would have hurt you  — and US.

(The congressman from Alabama had a great ONE-SENTENCE bill to repeal Obamacare — and then start over with a clean sheet of paper. Did anyone on your staff share it with you?  If not, ask Tom Price or Ben Carson to give you a copy.

Meanwhile I will continue to PRAY daily that God will protect you and guide you in your very important work on behalf of all Americans. So far you are doing a great job.  Keep up the momentum.

Sincerely,

Jack Mertz
(A long-term supporter of TEAM TRUMP)

Obama’s takeover of 6% of the total American Economy known as “the affordable care act” should be repealed! Drop the word replaced and get the government out of healthcare. American’s see Obamacare as just what it is and always has been “government overreach”. The one sentence bill from the Alabama Senator is exactly what is needed to repeal the over 2,000 pages of legal jargon contrived and hoisted on the backs of American taxpayers by the Democrats with their closed door meetings and arm twisting. I support Trump but I was startled that he spoke out against the HFC. Trump needs to get this one right or he will immediately lose the support of conservatives who are sick and tired of seeing this Kabuki theatre play out year after year in DC. Healthcare has always been between a patient and their doctor and it should remain that way. Obamacare is a total invasion of citizen’s privacy and basic human rights.

“Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” describes the oft-repeated soundbite “Repeal and Replace”.
Did I miss it somewhere in the pre-election campaigns? Am I mistaken to remember only the word REPLACE ???
