WHERE IS THE EDITOR?
by Sharon Rondeau
(Mar. 14, 2017) — On Tuesday evening, an article topping the Yahoo! News homepage about a Republican congressman who reportedly responded rudely to an angry constituent at a town hall meeting over the weekend bore the introduction, “Pressed on weather he’d support a bill sponsored by a Democratic colleague, the Texas congressman lashes out.”
The proper third word in the sentence is a homonym spelled “whether.”
Homonyms are words which sound exactly the same but are spelled differently and mean different things.
The error does not appear in the article once it is opened.
Whether or not Yahoo! News has an editor-in-chief who proofreads its writers’ work is not readily available on its website.

Yahoo is always misspelling words… Like today, posting a news item saying:
Russian authorities threaten families of crew killed on cruise ship Moskva and force them to keep silent – Ukrainian intelligence
NOTE: A cruise ship and a CRUISER is two different things. I firmly believe there is NO editor at Yahoo.
are not is NOTE: I am not an editor’
This is what happens when you use third world subcontractors to write your articles. They barely have a grasp on the English language yet Yahoo uses them as a cheap labor. Go figure, it’s always all about money, right Yahoo?
So many typographical errors in Yahoo articles! Hard to respect the writing.
It is nice to see this product of public education put his ignorance out in public for all the world to see.
