“THE FULL MEASURE OF JUSTICE”
(Jan. 6, 2017) — “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to what has become the refuge of the ‘political deplorable.’ Hello, I’m your Roving Reporter and will be your host for this evening’s — what DO we like to call — ‘educational entertainment.’ As you can see, we’re back in the train station where it’s, above all, out of the wind to ask what’s on your neighbors’ minds. Excuse me, Miss, Roving here for ‘Pulse.’
I know who you are; I’ve seen you hanging around enough. How come you’re not out in the wind on your corner?”
“Oh, boy; what a way to start the day. Look, make it easy for me, please, and tell us all about it.”
“All about what?”
“Obviously something’s bugging you, so spill it for our viewers.”
“Okay, and don’t say you didn’t ask for it. It’s about this ‘hate crime’ nonsense.* I mean, they dish it out like it’s the last helping of Cherries Jubilee, and it’s not. Like when someone murders one of us it’s just another killing, but when someone murders a policeman it’s somehow perceived as, correct me if I’m wrong, a more important killing somehow, but the end result – a dead body – is exactly the same. Do you think St. Peter asks if you were murdered because of hate or your regular, average dislike?”
“I see what you mean. I suppose they’re doing their best to protect certain professions more than others. Like maybe it’s a deterrent or something.”
“’Or something’ is more like it. A few years ago these low-life animals in Knoxville, TN, kidnapped, tortured and murdered a couple beyond human comprehension, a crime so heinous that it wasn’t reported due to the fact that if people knew about it in detail, well, let me just say it’s too bad the good people in the State of Tennessee can’t elect real men (or women) to have the moral courage to advocate JUSTICE for the perpetrators and take them out of their cages and do the EXACT SAME THING THEY DID TO THEIR VICTIMS: let justice be done. Or send them over to ISIS in Syria and let them deal with them as they deserve. I’m talking about electing a governor with guts. And here’s my train, so goodbye.”
“Goodbye, and thanks for talking with us. I remember that crime and everyone involved wasn’t convicted; as a matter of fact, they all escaped the death penalty, and if anyone in the history of the world truly deserves the full measure of justice, this group sure does. Golly, what a bad way to start the day. Let’s walk into the crowd waiting for the next train and find (hopefully) a cheerful soul. Hello, Miss, mind if we interview you?”
“Oh, hello, Roving; my dog and I watch your show, that is, when you’re on, but you’re not on every day. Why’s that?”
“Good question: it’s because of world events. When something momentous occurs we get relegated to the back burner, so to speak: in other words, we’re told to take the day off. Our boss calls the shots. So, what’s happening with you? What would you like to relay to the world at large?”
“I’d like to know what’s with these stupid Democrats, anyway? Don’t they want America to be rich and safe? I mean, why all the fuss? Just think, for a moment, what it would be like if Hillary had won: why, we’d have the exact Muslim problem Germany is having right now, wouldn’t we? I feel sorry for those poor Europeans: their politicians sure as heck sold them all down the river, didn’t they?”
“Yes, they did, just as our own politicians were doing to us, thanks to RINOs like Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, John Kasich and others: endorsing stupidity like amnesty and welcoming ‘refugees.’”
“I hear you, Mr. Roving. Makes me want to rob a bank: ‘HELLO, I’M A REFUGEE, SO GIVE ME STUFF: MONEY; A HOUSE; FOOD AND THE SHIRT OFF YOUR BACK.’ Does that sound about right?”
“You left out the ‘invading army’ and ‘Sharia Law’ shoved down our throats. And let’s not forget the ‘Make sure they get treated better than any of our homeless Veterans.’ So, tell us, how come we get it and they don’t?”
“I’m beginning to believe it’s the opening gambit of the Mars invasion and the Martians already zapped half the population. Why half? Maybe they ran out of Kool-Aid, who knows? At least we’re halfway rational.”
“And they aren’t? I mean the Obots** aren’t. Well, it does make sense, now, doesn’t it? Then what you’re saying is that the Martians have invaded us? Figuratively speaking, that is.”
“But all the pieces fit, don’t they? I mean, nobody can be that stupid, can they? It must’ve been caused by extreme outside forces.”
“Okay, but we can still win, I believe. The word ‘deport’ comes to mind. And support Israel, too. There’s a lot we can do such as supporting Trump.”
“I’m glad I voted for him. Look, they didn’t get to me.”
“What do you mean?”
“I think they invaded our brains; no, not our brains; the Obots’ brains, like in that movie, ‘The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.’ See here, in my purse: a gun. If that couple in Knoxville had had an equalizer they’d be alive today, now, wouldn’t they?”
“That they would. It’s kind-of funny, isn’t it? A city that promotes ‘gun safety’ has the highest gun killings in the country. Surely something’s out of whack, isn’t it? Maybe their gun laws just don’t work. It’s all way too complicated for the politicians, isn’t it? Is it a coincidence that they’re all Democrats? I think not.
“Look, our time is up and here comes your train; good timing. It was nice to have talked with you. You watch the show with your dog? You do?”
“And my dog howls when that Vietnam Vet and his dog are on. Come to think of it, are they still around?”
“They don’t come into the station, but we see them across the street every day. And now, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of the crew, I’d like to wish each and everyone one of you a goodnight: Goodnight.
“Good show. Burger time: my treat.”
[*The “hate crime” is because the victim is a “mentally-challenged white” and NOT because the “suspects” are black.]
