“A CRITICAL TURNING POINT IN AMERICA”

by U.S. Patriots Union, ©2016

nalc-12-15-16(Dec. 15, 2016) — ALL MEMBERS, DONORS AND SUPPORTERS,

240 years after the birth of the greatest nation ever known to mankind, words have become a weapon of choice among politicos and pundits and many of those words have been so over used and abused that they barely have any meaning at all today. Eternal vigilance would prove to be very difficult in such an environment.

Despite the labels being bantered about freely, very few people actually meet the real qualifications for labels such as hero, patriot, racist, bigot, liberal, conservative, libertarian or even republican and democrat. In short, the abuse of certain words has rendered many of those words meaningless in today’s American lexicon.

In the most racially and culturally diverse nation on earth, who can honestly buy into the theory that America is also the most racist and culturally divisive nation on earth? If politicians and their minions of division in academia and the media were not perpetuating myths about racism via a daily diet of politically motivated talking points, would any American care about race or cultural differences today? If legal immigrants properly assimilated into society, would anyone even notice? If our country were not overrun with “illegal” migrants, would we be talking about immigration policies at all? No one I know would be…

Yet, it has been repeated throughout history that the price of freedom and liberty is eternal vigilance. Our willingness to remain forever awake, informed, engaged and vigilant in defense of our many blessings, is the only means to securing those blessings, for ourselves and our posterity.

In a 1790 speech regarding the Right of Election, John Philpot Curran stated – “It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt.”

As millions wait for Donald J. Trump to “make America great again,” having “done their part” by voting for him on November 8th, millions opposed to the Trump Revolution are working feverishly around the clock to derail everything Trump was elected to do. “It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active…”

“The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance;” – The global left never stops organizing, funding, strategizing and mobilizing millions of useful idiots who will spend their last dime to advance an agenda they would in the end, regret. But the political right fails to effectively organize, fund, strategize or mobilize in a cohesive and effective counter-movement necessary to making America great again.

Despite their hopes and intentions, they are not prepared to act on eternal vigilance.

The 2016 electoral revolution resulted in the election of political outsider Donald J. Trump. But the revolution was not about the candidate. It was a total rebuke of everyone and every federal policy emanating from inside the D.C. Beltway for decades now. It was a belated revolt against the counter-revolution to destroy America from within, which had taken a death grip on everyone inside the Beltway and threatened the freedom and liberty of every American citizen, regardless of race, color or creed.

Although some sixty-million Americans were willing to show up at the polls to elect new leadership from outside of D.C., the number of Americans willing to become forever well-informed, in order to become eternally vigilant, is much smaller.

Edmund Burke said it right – “Those who have been once intoxicated with power and have derived any kind of emolument from it can never willingly abandon it.” – and there can be no doubt at this late date, that the American people have indeed witnessed the fruits of those who have been intoxicated beyond total drunkenness by power…

And Thomas Jefferson gave the right warning! – “Free government is founded in jealousy, not confidence. It is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions, to bind those we are obliged to trust with power…. In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in men, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

No matter his intent, it is not Donald J. Trump who can or will make America great again… Only the American people hold such power. At best, Trump can create a window in time, an opportunity for Americans to make America great again.

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” — Samuel Adams

2016 does indeed mark a critical turning point in America, or at least that opportunity. For the first time in many years, minority groups cast off the chains that had bound them to ill-advised Democratic Party loyalties for decades. Blacks, Hispanics, even gays and women, legal immigrants and union laborers broke with tradition and voted to make America great again, together!

But such a lofty goal will require much more than casting a ballot…

Those who will wait for anyone else, including Donald J. Trump, to make America great again, will be greatly disappointed in the results they can achieve from the sidelines. To be sure, the cheering squad is a valuable asset. But they will not be able to affect the outcome on the field.

To win this game, people will have to get in the game. They will need a plan of attack, a strategy for achieving their goals, an organized group of like-minded brothers and sisters they can work in concert with, to multiply their efforts and move the ball down the field together.

At one time, many thought the Tea Party could provide that much needed vehicle. But the Tea Party was infiltrated and hijacked by political insiders early on. It was too open – too unorganized – too fractured and too insecure to ever be what the people needed it to be.

As the left marches in lockstep against America, through organizations like DSAUSA, Netroots Nation and many Soros-funded affiliates, the right continues to factionalize itself in countless small groups often competing with others on their side of the greater battle, instead of fighting their common enemies head-on.

On the left, there are very few true leaders, but millions and millions of blind loyal followers willing to carry out anti-American missions without hesitation. On the right, there are many leaders and no willing followers, everyone choosing to take a “my way or the highway” approach towards fighting an enemy that can never be defeated this way.
“If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too.” — Somerset Maugham, a British playwright, novelist and short story writer. He was among the most popular writers of his era.

Most of the American political left, the voters, know not what they are doing. They don’t know that what they call progressive today is simply the Marxism of yesterday. The political left targets the young because they are easily manipulated, impressionable, eager to become something of value to the world, but often clueless in that pursuit.

As the adage goes, if you have never been liberal, you have never been young – and if you are not yet conservative, you still haven’t grown up. We all want to press the outer limits and boundaries in youth. But as we grow up and take on responsibilities for not only ourselves, but others, we quite naturally become increasingly conservative.

In a recent interview, a caller asked if I had ever been liberal? I responded – I still am, personally. In order to be personally liberal, hold a maximum degree of personal liberty, I must be politically conservative, to keep government from ever interfering in my personal affairs.

Our Founders knew and they had it right… Government can’t really do anything “for” you. They can only do things “to” you. They can get in your way, or get out of your way. The more they promise to do things for you, the more power they gain to do things to you.

“No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation.” — General Douglas MacArthur

Before anyone can be eternally vigilant, they must first be properly informed and able to engage effectively. One who is not well-informed, or is unwilling or unable to engage, is not able to be eternally vigilant.

Thus, this task, eternal vigilance, always has and always will fall to a chosen few… The masses will never be eternally vigilant. Most will not do what it takes to be fully informed. Most who will inform themselves, will never engage. Most who are informed and will engage, will not engage effectively, for several reasons, none of them acceptable.

For this reason and at the request of thousands of readers, I worked with numerous other qualified leaders to form U.S. Patriots Union, which later inherited Veteran Defenders of America from its Founder Richard Van Waes. Later we added The North American Law Center and now CDJ News.

We built it all in the hopes they would come by the thousands, or millions. But they did not come… They preferred to go it alone, to hope that others would make America great again.

We spent years researching, months writing and thousands publishing the only FIVE STAR reader rated book of 2016, TRUMPED: The New American Revolution, so that the people could be fully and properly informed for the battle still ahead. But many were too busy or too distracted to get it, read it, share it and heed it.

So, once again, the future of our Constitutional Republic will fall to only a chosen few. We can’t choose you… You must choose us!

History presents the call… but only a few will answer that call.

Unless and until you do, you are only hoping for something well beyond your control. Only when you take matters into your own hands, together with others, moving in the same direction at the same time, can you secure your own future.

None of us can afford to worry about the many who will never answer the call. It is incumbent upon us to focus all attention upon those who do answer the call. Are you one of the few?
