“IF NOT NOW, WHEN?”
by Mike Travis, ©2016
Here is what I wrote to my elected SERPENT in Congress:
John, Due to the refusal of people in government to do their duty to enforce immigration laws, American citizens are being murdered by those same illegals congress and other government entities have allowed into America. I believe the only way to force you people to act is to hold you personally liable for all crimes committed by all illegals as that is exactly what you have all done for US citizens, namely to hold us personally liable for our actions. You should be ashamed of yourself for refusing to do your sacred duty to enforce the Constitution.
I call on you to do your duty to enforce the law now by deporting all illegals, end ALL benefits to all illegals, and punish all who refuse to adhere to this important set of laws including those in government who intentionally created the situation whereby these crimes can be committed. I am sick of watching American citizens be murdered by illegals while our country is destroyed because people like you intentionally refuse to do your duty to enforce the Constitution.
For God, Family, Country, and Liberty!
“The strength of the Constitution lies entirely in the determination of each citizen to defend it. Only if every single citizen feels duty bound to do his share in this defense are the constitutional rights secure.” ― Albert Einstein
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14). If not us, who? If not now, when?
Make your life worth dying for. Our veterans stand ready to fight, bleed, and die for our freedom – strive to be worthy of their sacrifice!
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night, because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.” — George Orwell
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.
“We the people are the rightful masters … not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”
The following response was received from Rep. John Carter (TX31):

Mr. Mike Travis
Dear Mr. Travis:
Thank you for contacting me. It’s good to hear from you and I’m pleased to respond.
The loss of innocent lives due to failed sanctuary city policies must stop. It is simply not fair that American taxpayers’ hard earned dollars go to cities whose reckless policies flood our streets with criminals and endanger our safety. As Chairman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, which provides funding for Customs and Border Protection as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agencies, I support common sense solutions to keep criminals where they belong—behind bars and away from our children to await deportation.
On July 7th, 2015, the House Appropriations Committee passed my bill, the Fiscal Year 2016 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations bill. This important legislation prohibits funding for sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with immigration agents. My bill awaits approval by the full House. I will keep your views in mind as I monitor the progress of this important issue.
Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. I appreciate having the opportunity to work for you in the U.S. House of Representatives. Please feel free to visit www.carter.house.gov, or contact me with any future concerns.
