(Oct. 3, 2015) — In the wake of a shooting at an Oregon community college on Thursday by a deranged man who exhibited hostility toward Christians as he murdered them in cold blood, White House occupant Barack Hussein Obama called for Congress to pass stricter firearms laws in order to “save lives.”
The press conference was held within hours of nine people having been murdered and seven others injured, three critically.
The shooter reportedly had “a number of guns” in his dwelling, one of which was not registered in his name, according to CBS News.
“This is a political choice that we make, to allow this to happen every few months in America. We collectively are answerable to those families who lose their loved ones,” Obama said during the news conference. Like-minded congressmen hurried to public microphones to assert that more laws are needed to stop gun violence.
CNN described Obama as “furious” as he stated that he cannot change the law “alone.” However, Obama has acted “alone” in changing aspects of his signature health care law more than a dozen times; by instituting changes to immigration laws not approved by Congress; by forging international treaties without the “advice and consent” of the U.S. Senate, as the Constitution requires; and reportedly secretly aiding a state sponsor of terrorism by asking Argentina to provide it with nuclear fuel while halting the U.S.’s own development of nuclear weapons.
While Obama claimed that states with “stricter gun laws” have fewer gun-related deaths, the cities of Hartford, New Haven and Bridgeport, CT are three of America’s most dangerous mid-sized cities, despite “stricter gun laws” passed in April 2013 following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012.
In February 2014, The Hartford Courant reported that Connecticut’s “strategy to reduce violence targets Hartford, Bridgeport, and New Haven, which are also the three biggest crime hubs. While each of the cities had fewer non-fatal shootings in 2013 than in the preceding two years, homicides in both Hartford and New Haven rose slightly from 2012.”
Hartford and New Haven are “sanctuary cities” which protect illegal aliens from arrest and deportation.
According to Zack Taylor, Chairman of the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO), many illegals seek to expand foreign drug cartels’ presence and power in the U.S., particularly in sanctuary cities.
In Obama’s “home town” of Chicago, gun violence has risen over the past decade despite Illinois’s strict gun laws and a long-term ban on gun ownership in Chicago ultimately deemed unconstitutional by a federal judge in 2013.
According to WGN-TV on Thursday, more than 50 people were killed by gun violence in Chicago during the month of September. “Police officials blame the availability of illegal guns and repeat offenders on the streets,” the station reported.
In 2013, Chicago was dubbed the “Murder Capital of America.” “It happens every day in Chicago,” said one observer of the violence.
Alan Korwin, author of ten books on gun laws and owner of the website gunlaws.com, commented in regard to Obama’s press conference that “the 16 black Americans shot and murdered in ghettos that same day, and the day before, tragically got no news coverage.”
According to data obtained by the government watchdog group Judicial Watch, the Obama regime has allowed individuals from the Middle East known to have offered aid, comfort, or other types of assistance to terrorists to receive refugee status in the United States under the guise of having provided aid “while under duress.”
In a September 29, 2015 press release, Judicial Watch reported that over 1,500 individuals who would have been classified as “inadmissible” to the U.S. prior to Obama’s taking office have been granted legal U.S. residency or asylum. “Before the Obama administration tweaked a federal law last year, these foreign nationals would have been banned from the country for supporting terrorist causes. But under the changes the Secretary of Homeland Security has ‘discretionary authority’ to waive certain grounds of inadmissibility relating to terrorism. We’ve seen this discretionary authority abused in the last few years and in fact, the administration has eliminated a zero tolerance policy for granting asylum or residency to individuals who have provided any sort of terrorism-related support,” JW reported.
The primary responsibility of the president of the United States as set forth in his oath of office is to “faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States,” which includes defending national security.
On November 20, 2014, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson used “discretionary authority” to order three departments under his jurisdiction to change deportation procedures by reviewing every case, including those involving known criminals.
Last summer, in an “expected” development, more than 60,000 children and others were allowed to cross the U.S.-Mexico border under the premise of a “humanitarian crisis,” some of whom belonged to violent gangs and carried diseases.
Gang members such as those belonging to the Mexican MS-13 have committed heinous crimes against Americans resulting in maiming and loss of life.
Through editorial columns, the mainstream media has arguably aided and abetted the Obama regime in its goal to allow millions of illegal aliens to remain in the country, many of whom receive government benefits paid for by American taxpayers.
In February 2013, 617 illegal alien criminals, some of whom were reported to be “dangerous,” were released onto American streets “as part of a cost-cutting exercise.”
As with the Oregon shooting, Obama has viewed deportations through a “political” lens with the media’s assistance.
The Obama regime has ordered the release of tens of thousands of violent criminals into American neighborhoods, and some who received deportation reprieves under Obama’s “DACA” program, enacted “alone” by executive memorandum, committed murder and other crimes against American citizens. “This group included aliens convicted of hundreds of violent and serious crimes, including homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. The list of crimes also includes more than 16,000 drunk or drugged driving convictions. The vast majority of these releases from ICE custody were discretionary, not required by law (in fact, in some instances, apparently contrary to law), nor the result of local sanctuary policies,” reported the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) in May 2014.
In November 2009, U.S. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, one of whom was expecting a baby. A number of others were seriously injured. Hasan had been in touch with US-born suspected terrorist mastermind Anwar Al-Awlaki as Hasan’s radical plan to attack his fellow soldiers progressed prior to the attack.
Hasan had renounced his U.S. citizenship in favor of Islam.
The Obama regime refused to classify the attack as one motivated by terrorism, choosing instead to call it “workplace violence” until Congress intervened early this year, after which those wounded received Purple Hearts.
In April 2013, two brothers from Chechnya who had been granted asylum, then permanent residency in the U.S., planted explosives loaded with shrapnel at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three and wounding more than 260, many of whom lost limbs.
One family whose father had run in the marathon lost an eight-year-old boy in the explosion. Martin Richard‘s mother and sister suffered what were termed “grievous injuries,” including the child’s loss of a leg.
The older Tsarnaev brother had been known to the FBI, having returned to Chechnya for a six-month stay in 2012.
The brothers had attended a Boston mosque known for its radical Islamic rhetoric. Under the Obama regime, FBI agents have been deterred from monitoring mosques for potential terrorist activity, and terms which Islamics found “offensive” were removed in 2011 from FBI and military training manuals.
On October 3, 2013, an unarmed woman with a 14-month-old child in the back of her car was murdered by Capitol Police and Secret Service agents in the heart of Washington, DC without any apparent need. No one has been charged in the case, and the explanation proffered by Miriam Carey’s killers was reported to be false.
Many crimes committed by illegal aliens inside the U.S. involve guns, including murder. Last October, an illegal alien who had been deported twice shot and killed two deputy sheriffs in Sacramento, CA “during a shooting rampage.” His wife allegedly committed a carjacking the day before.
Law enforcers have been killed by illegal aliens in incidents which become largely forgotten. Illegals have recently killed store clerks, grandfathers, children, military veterans, infants, high school football players, grandmothers, students, preschoolers and taxi drivers using guns, vehicles, knives, watercraft, and airliners.
Many illegal aliens who have killed Americans are repeat offenders who are “released into the community pending a deportation hearing,” only to offend, and sometimes kill, again.
Islamic radicals have also utilized explosives in both foiled terrorist plots and those which came to fruition around the world.
On July 16, a young man whose family was allowed to settle in the United States during the 1990s murdered four Marines and a sailor with “an AK-47 style weapon” during “a shooting rampage.” According to CNN, the man had “researched ‘martyrdom’ on the internet” before carrying out the attacks which left the city of Chattanooga, TN and the nation stunned.
Reportedly as a result of the “refugee crisis” in Europe from the Syrian Civil War, the United States committed to accepting approximately 10,000 Syrian refugees, all of whom are difficult to screen for terrorist affiliation. The White House claims an extensive vetting process is in place, although at least one congressman says the opposite. On September 17, Rep. Bradley Byrne wrote a letter to Anne Richard, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, in which he said, in part:
On September 20, putative Secretary of State John Kerry declared that 100,000 “worldwide” refugees will be brought to the U.S. each year by 2017 without an act of Congress.
Photos of the “migrants” seeking “asylum” depict mostly men, not women and children.
Christian Iraqi refugees seeking asylum in the U.S. are, at the same time, being deported.
According to Judicial Watch in August 2014, members of the terrorist group ISIS were encamped on the U.S.-Mexico border. At the time, JW reported that “An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed.”
The Obama regime denied that terrorists were active on the border between the two countries. However, JW reported that the FBI, without inviting the Department of Homeland Security, “called a ‘special’ meeting at the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juárez” “specifically to address a press strategy to deny Judicial Watch’s accurate reporting and identify who is providing information to JW.”
On his MySpace page, the Oregon killer posted a photo of himself with a gun. One of two “connections” pictured by Christopher Harper-Mercer has videos, photos, and statements sympathetic to radical Islam on his own MySpace page.
A chronicler of jihadist terrorist attacks reports that a total of 3,106 people have been killed since 1972 on U.S. soil. In a report dated June 24, 2015, NPR headlined an interview with “Right-Wing Extremists More Dangerous Than Islamic Terrorists In U.S.”
A WND report from January of this year states that 22 Islamic terror training camps are known to the FBI, one of which was identified by the agency in a 2007 document as operated by the terrorist group Jamaat ul-Fuqra, whose parent group, Muslims of the Americas, advocates “a policy of jihad or holy war against individuals or groups it considers enemies of Islam…”
Those involved in the reported terrorist training carry guns and teach guerilla tactics.
