UNPOPULAR NEW YORK FIREARMS LAW UNDER FIRE
by New York State Grassroots Groups
(May 21, 2015) — WE continue to gain. The halls of Albany are abuzz with talk of FULL Repeal of the SAFE Act. YOUR continued help will stoke the fire higher. We are hoping Assemblyman Brindisi receives as many correspondences as possible before OUR next meeting with him. Please read the contents herein and.. Please spread the word to everyone.
NOTE : Wednesday, May 27 WE would like additional “Mailmen” and lobbyists to join US in Albany. Contact albel1@aol.com or just show up at the LOB security check point at 9:00 am. Yes – it is a sacrifice – but a very rewarding and learning experience.
Wednesday, 5/20 was a very good day for OUR side in Albany. What you should know is that a core group are talking more with Democrats and less with Republicans. As the Democrats learn what WE – the average folks – have to say about what “the street” knows and not what politicians or “talking heads” have to say, they lean more and more OUR way…. FULL Repeal is correct – Keep Pushing…..OUR way – Don’t Quit – WE Will WIN!
It is nearly a foregone conclusion that the SAFE Act WILL be amended soon – that is quite an achievement – OUR PUSH got us that far – BUT – it ain’t good enough – KEEP PUSHING – WE DEMAND FULL REPEAL OF THE SAFE ACT.
MISSION: Assemblyman Brindisi:
Anthony Brindisi — District 119 LOB 538 518-455-5454 Fax: 518-455-5928 brindisia@assembly.state.ny.us
Assemblyman Brindisi has introduced several bills to amend the Safe Act. WE have held meetings with Assemblyman Brindisi and asked him to sponsor FULL Repeal of the Safe Act. He doesn’t seem opposed to that but his initial thought was that it will “die in committee”. WE continue OUR “process” with Brindisi. We scheduled another meeting with him for May 27. At that last meeting his staff stated they thought it best to hear from more people. PLEASE take action. Please send the following (or similar) message to Mr. Brindisi – Thanks – Al

Subject [Request and Information]
Dear Mr. Brindisi,
Thank you for realizing the wrongfulness in the Safe Act and having the courage to sponsor amendments.
We are all hearing the increasing roar of opposition to the Safe Act. There are now extreme efforts to achieve action before the end of this legislative session. We are optimistic that action will be taken before June 17, 2015.
While amending the Safe Act is a first step and we all know must and can be achieved, we also all know that the entire statute, with all the corruption involved, MUST be stricken down completely. Reams of facts and evidence overwhelmingly prove there is nothing positive in the unworkable Safe Act. We all know there is nothing contained in the Safe Act to prevent or curtail crime. We all want a statute that is positive to prevent crime, gives the police better enforcement capabilities and helps the mentally ill. We all know it will take brand new legislation enacted correctly to achieve those objectives. We all know the Safe Act actually obstructs and prevents those noble objectives. The correct governance is FULL Repeal of the Safe Act and to immediately begin work on new legislation that is cohesive, workable and within the bounds of law.
Mr. Brindisi – Will YOU please Support FULL Repeal of the Safe Act?
This is a request from many voters and constituents that requires redress.
I eagerly await your response.
Thank you.

Why don’t they just sell New York back to Indians for $100 bucks?
