IS THIS JUST THE BEGINNING?
by Sharon Rondeau
(May 2, 2014) — Twenty months after a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya was attacked with gunfire and mortars, killing four Americans and seriously injuring an unknown number of others, the U.S. House of Representatives voted affirmatively on Friday to establish a select committee to investigate the terror attack which the Obama regime had falsely claimed was the result of an obscure internet video.
On September 11, 2012, Islamic militants surrounded the U.S. mission in the port city of Benghazi, torching and riddling the structure with heavy fire, brutally killed Amb. J. Christopher Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALS working as CIA contractors who attempted to rescue the victims.
In the days and weeks which followed, the Obama regime attempted to characterize the attack as a “protest” gone awry as a result of a video which reportedly mocked Islam. While ABC News, which has ties to the Obama White House, reports that “The video…was an anti-Muslim YouTube video that sparked widespread protests across the Muslim world,” Middle East expert Walid Shoebat reported on Thursday that “The White House has officially been caught lying about the video being responsible for the attacks.”
Shoebat stated last fall that Obama was “working to create an Islamic caliphate” as indicated by his support for The Muslim Brotherhood’s Egyptian presidential candidate Mohamed Morsi and and his praise of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which has ties to terror groups and is an official “consultant on Muslim affairs” to the Obama regime.
When the bodies of the dead were returned to Dover Air Force Base several days later, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told their grieving relatives and the public that “We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful internet video that we had nothing to do with” (see first video). However, Shoebat contends that the Obama regime was sending armaments to Syrian through Libya and Turkey and “was pushing a Muslim fundamentalist agenda.”
Obama has shown sympathy toward Muslims since taking office in 2009. He began his residency in the White House by taking a trip through the Middle East and speaking from a mosque in Cairo, Egypt reserved for only devout Muslims. While claiming that he is a Christian, Obama has marginalized and persecuted American Christians in various ways, including labeling them “potential domestic terrorists” through the FBI.
On Tuesday, Judicial Watch released emails obtained through a lawsuit filed after its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was stonewalled by the U.S. State Department. The emails, written by “then-White House Deputy Strategic Communications Adviser Ben Rhodes and other Obama administration public relations officials” instructing then-United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice “To underscore that these protests are rooted in and Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.”
ABC reported that the emails “surfaced” rather than that they were produced in response to a federal court order.
Leading House Republicans called the obstruction of the emails “a flagrant violation of trust.” Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), who said that the confrontation between Bureau of Land Management (BLM) agents and Nevada rancher and constituent Cliven Bundy “is not over,” described the formation of a Select Committee “a partisan political circus” which would waste taxpayer money.
On Friday, the group Special Operations Speaks (SOS), which has been urging members of the House of Representatives to form a select committee, exclaimed on its website, “Yes, we did!… Now it begins!” in response to Speaker of the House John Boehner’s agreement to put the matter to a vote.
Capt. Larry Bailey (Ret.), co-founder of SOS, told The Post & Email in a statement:
Special Operations Speaks is delighted that the truth has begun to peek out from the shroud of secrecy imposed on the Benghazi situation by politicians afraid to be implicated in the criminal actions of this administration during the evening of September 11 and the early morning of September 12, 2012. We will be closely watching the deliberations of the Select Committee to be convened in the House of Representatives, and we call upon all parties providing testimony to tell the American people the truth about Benghazi.
If the truth emerges, we have little doubt that some will pay a price for the events of that dreadful several hours. Justice cannot compensate the fallen or their families, but it will help. SOS is proud to have played a small part in bringing it about.
Commentator Rush Limbaugh reported that Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC4) will chair the select committee and that he is known to “take no prisoners.” A former federal prosecutor, Gowdy has earned recognition for his aggressive prosecution of drug traffickers, bank robbers and murder suspects.
This writer observes that the mainstream media has been slow to report on this breaking news story as of Friday evening. The Los Angeles Times reported on the new development, including that current Secretary of State John Kerry has been issued a subpoena to testify to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa.
The Obama regime has been accused of multiple crimes by various parties since 2009, beginning with CDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III’s criminal complaint of treason against Obama for being a “foreign born domestic enemy.” Obama’s reign has seen unprecedented spying and the use of killer drones on American citizens, the labeling of military veterans as “domestic terrorists” and “right-wing extremists;” raids on private companies whose owners claimed they had done nothing wrong; the seizure of journalists’ phone records with their or their employers’ knowledge; the passage of a health care law not supported by most Americans; the presentation of fraudulent identification documents purported to be Obama’s; politically-motivated targeting of Tea Party and other “conservative” groups by Obama’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and fewer responses to FOIA requests than Obama’s predecessor and constant scapegoat, George W. Bush.
Fitzpatrick’s treason complaint has been renewed on multiple occasions for multiple transgressions on the part of Obama and his assistants.
On Thursday, Lord Christopher Monckton told Rick Wiles of TruNews that in regard to Obama’s alleged long-form birth certificate posted on the White House website since April 27, 2011, “A huge crime has been committed against the American people and nobody will lift a finger to do anything about it.” Monckton also asserted that members of Congress are aware that Obama “is not who he says he is.”
