“A DAY OF RECKONING”

(Mar. 16, 2014) — The “Political Correctness Police” have gone bananas. It’s one thing to say it, but it’s an entirely different proposition to advertise it, wave it, put it in neon lights, make a banner and have it towed behind an airplane for all to see, little knowing that by doing so they’ve cemented their legacy in the “Gone Over to the Other Side” column. “Grandma, what did you do when you were my age?” “Why, I just made a complete fool of myself, is what I did.”
Why do people hide their heads in the sand, mimicking the behavior of a giant bird that can’t fly? Too bad the “I didn’t know” excuse has been tried before, to no avail. “Oh, I didn’t know it was against the law to torture and murder.”
Richard Wright tried to make the reader feel sympathy for a 1950’s Obot, but he failed miserably: rather than make an effort to grow up, to take responsibility for his actions and his life, the main character wastes his time acting stupid and murdering his girlfriend because he lacks the gumption to ever make it to a library, a museum, an art institute; to try and better himself rather than wallow in self pity, taking immense pride in being a loser, wearing the badge of “Feel Sorry for Me” because he chose “stupid” over character.
Food stamps to purchase candy, beer, marijuana. Meanwhile, the government allows generations to continue the novel, each generation a separate chapter, each paragraph either a baby born or time in the Big House.
And, guess what? The educational standards are lowered year after year. Meanwhile, the censors of television and radio have left the building long ago. It’s one thing to push for free speech, but just because you can doesn’t mean you have to. Yes, Howard Stern proved that you can put on pure worthless trash week after week, to cater to an audience that laughs at body-noise jokes.
So when did ever owning a gun make you, somehow, not a Democrat, for instance? I’m talking about a real JFK supporter, not one of these Communist-anti-Constitutionalists, the “We won; you lost” idiots who wouldn’t know the meaning of the 2nd Amendment. Listen, I’m serious here. The whole meaning of the United States of America is for its citizens to be left alone by an intrusive, overzealous government. Government “assistance” is overzealous, especially if they keep people on welfare generation after generation.
More than at any time in our country’s history since the Revolutionary War, we need every citizen to be armed. Here’s the logic of that last statement: when, or “if” the government suspends our Civil Rights completely, when Freedom of speech and assembly are no longer ours, when government goons (law enforcement) break in to your house, invading your privacy without a warrant, then the Obots may finally wake up to the fact that the country and the Constitution are in imminent peril and start to, finally, defend their homeland along with the rest of us.
As far as those who would follow illegal orders, to demand the list of customers from gun shops, to illegally break into a home without a warrant just for the thrill of intimidating helpless people, to play being a bully, a goon, each of us has a day of reckoning. A paycheck isn’t worth turning your back on your Oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Will you live your old age in honor or in shame? It’s a clear choice.
And a word to those “political correctness” busybodies: don’t push it. As far as perpetually existing on welfare and government assistance: the idea is to make every citizen able to stand on his or her own two feet without any assistance from the government. That’s the whole idea of FREEDOM.
