DOES HE EVER TELL THE TRUTH?
by Sharon Rondeau
(Dec. 6, 2013) — In an in-person interview with progressive commentator Chris Matthews, Barack Hussein Obama lied once again when he told an audience of mainly college students, “For the vast majority of people, it’s [Healthcare.gov] working well.”
Obama was hosted by American University. “Hardball’ is just an excuse to hang out with these fine young people,” Obama began his advocacy of his health care law known as Obamacare. Later in his soliloquy, Obama said, “The website’s working.”
On Wednesday, Reuters reported that “The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not yet finished building the part of the website that would transfer billions of dollars in subsidies for plan premiums and cost-sharing payments to insurance companies.”
Congressional testimony from November 20 revealed that at that time, the system to pay insurers had not yet been constructed.
On October 17, Reuters reported that “tens of millions of dollars” in additional funding were invested in building Healthcare.gov since April, when it became clear that the website would not be functional by the October 1 rollout date.
The payment system will not be ready for January, as planned, with a delay of “potentially several months.” Instead, insurers have been asked to “estimate” premium amounts, causing extra work and a possible closure of small insurance companies.
Obama has been noted to be “hostile to the private sector.”
Obama claimed he was not told “directly” of the problems plaguing the website which appeared to be caused by a lack of coordination of a number of contractors already paid millions to construct it.
Some members of the public believe that Obama’s lie that Americans could keep their health plans if they liked them is an impeachable offense. During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, the topic of impeachment was raised by Nicholas Rosenkranz, a professor at Georgetown University. Rosenkranz appeared on Greta van Susteren’s show that evening on the Fox News Channel and reiterated his contention that if the courts fail to respond to Congress’s requests for action against a perceived overreaching executive branch, then Articles of Impeachment can be drafted.
During the August congressional recess, Rep. Blake Farenthold stated that he believed there were “probably” enough votes in the House of Representatives to vote in favor of Articles of Impeachment against Obama. On November 13, it was announced that Articles of Impeachment were drawn up against putative Attorney General Eric Holder, who refused to produce documents relating to the Fast & Furious gun-running operation which killed at least one American and several hundred Mexican citizens.
Obama has lied about his purported birth certificate, which has been posted on the White House website since April 27, 2011, but no one holding public office has challenged it.
Matthews was unwittingly most likely the first person to suggest that Obama was not born in the United States when he asked a guest in December 2007 if Hillary Clinton would use the fact that Obama was “born in Indonesia” against him.
Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires the president and commander-in-chief to be a “natural born Citizen.”
Obama claims a foreign-citizen father, although some say that he is lying about that also. Foreign press has called into question elements of Obama’s “memoir,” Dreams From My Father, based on statements made by an Obama biographer, David Maraniss, who said that Obama created has “history to conform with the image he wished for himself.”
Obama may also have lied about his mother “arguing with insurance companies” as to whether or not her cancer was a pre-existing condition which the White House has refused to clarify. It also changed its story about Obama having known an uncle who overstayed his visa by more than 20 years and was arrested for drunk driving.
Some say that Obama’s mother is not the woman he has publicly identified, and that his biological mother is still living.
