WHAT IS AMERICA’S “END GAME?”

by OPOVV, ©2013

The Thanh Hóa Bridge was bombed several times by U.S. forces during the Vietnam War and eventually destroyed in 1972

(Nov. 10, 2013) — Take away the glitz, the glamor and the hype, and all you’re really left with is a seed to plant, nurture and reap; a net to mend, a hook to bait and haul in the catch; a sapling to cut and bend and string with gut, an arrow to whittle and let fly at game to kill and devour: life goes on. News from suspect sources everywhere with the same routine message as ants communicate by telepathy, 24-7. The dawn approaches with a hint of red:

Red sky at night,
sailor’s delight.
Red sky in morning,
sailor take warning.

I’ve seen that same red sky, every morning, since January, 20, 2009, the day that our Constitution was trampled by an insidious disease that goes by the name of greed or evil; take your pick, same results.

A case in point was the United States abandoning the people who we were (supposedly) helping: the South Vietnamese. Was it “turned tail and ran” or was it “we accomplished our mission and now we are leaving: Peace with Honor?” Of course, there’s a third possibility: “weapons systems and tactics perfected: demonstration completed.”

Cynics are not born; they’re made. Nothing, but nothing, can turn a person’s rosy outlook on life faster than a Marine DI (drill instructor) or, for that matter, any DI from OCS to a two-week wonder “Welcome to the United States Army” class.  No more running to Mother; you’re now officially cannon fodder, except if you can manage flying a desk as a rear echelon hero.

Think about it: that’s the way it should be. It’s just too darn bad that all those so-called Vietnam protesters weren’t beamed over to some Vietnamese village where the Viet Cong just visited and saw, first-hand, the atrocities that were committed in the name of “The People.”

Some people are afraid of being on their own, of having to decide what to do, where to go, what to think. The Democratic Party of JFK is not the Obots’ Party; on the contrary, since that organization has been displaced by something that is just the opposite: dependency is good, contributing is bad.

When playing chess there is the end game, the one goal that supersedes all other goals: save the King. All the other pieces are expendable, including the Bishops and the Queen: sacrifice religion and family to keep the ruling political force in power, at whatever cost. Blow yourself up, in the name of whatever. Kill children in kibitzes and school buses, or in, as in Chechnya, schools. Keep the Ayatollahs in power, as they have been for 1,400 years, the world’s oldest dynasty.

Combat veterans are the world’s best cynics: “What are you going to do, shoot at me?” No, it doesn’t get any better than that.  Why, just the other day something bad happened to me, and someone made the comment that it was bad, and I said, “At least I’m not getting shot at,” which put everything in perspective real quick. A flat tire? At least someone’s not shooting at you. A toothache? A bad meal? Get real. Get rid of the hype, the meaningless mumble-jumble: get rid of superfluous fertilizer. Get rid of Obama and his Muslim Brotherhood cronies.

Are there any songwriters out there who can write us a song about “Obama Gitmo Bound?”

Things were way different back in history when Kings led their troops into battle. Maybe we should try that again. Get the leather chairs out from under the politicians, put the so-called “President” out on the front lines. I’ll bet you dollars for donuts wars would be fought differently. Take your “Rules of Engagement” and go back to “All’s fair in love and war”.
