LAWYER ASSURES KESSLER’S RETURN “30 DAYS FROM TONIGHT”

by Sharon Rondeau

Gilberton Borough is located in Schuylkill County, whose county seat is Pottsville

(Jul. 31, 2013) — The Modesto Bee is reporting that Police Chief Mark Kessler, who made a series of profanity-laced videos showing his use of assault weapons while criticizing certain politicians, has received a 30-day suspension from his job as head of the police department of the borough of Gilberton, PA.

Gilberton has a current population of fewer than 800 people.

Kessler will not be paid during the suspension.  UPI had reported on Monday that Kessler had stated that he expected to be dismissed when he returned from vacation on account of the videos, which many found offensive.

The suspension was decided upon at a borough meeting on Wednesday evening as a result of Kessler’s alleged impropert use of the weapons depicted in the videos, which are reportedly property of the borough, on his own time.

Calls made by The Post & Email to the borough at 570-874-4790 over the last week have not been returned.

Kessler reportedly “made no apologies” after the 5-1 ruling of the borough council.

Kessler operates a “Constitution Security Force” bearing the motto “Never retreat, never surrender.”  He also hosts several radio shows each week wherein he discusses Second Amendment and other issues.

The chief attended the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers’ Association (CSPOA) conference in St. Charles, MO on May 31 and June 1, including two presentations given by Cold Case Posse lead investigator Michael Zullo.  The second presentation lasted for several hours and was open only to credentialed members of the organization.

The Cold Case Posse has investigated the long-form birth certificate presented to the public on April 27, 2011 as a certified copy of Barack Obama’s original birth record from Hawaii.  On March 1, 2012, Zullo and Maricopa County Sheriff Joseph Arpaio declared the image a “computer-generated forgery,” along with Obama’s purported Selective Service registration form.

The White House has refused to explain why forgeries have been presented to the public as authentic.

On June 10, Kessler interviewed Zullo and pledged to assist Zullo in any way possible in exposing “one of the biggest scams in American history.”  However, on June 18, Kessler interviewed Atty. Orly Taitz on her efforts to expose the fraud surrounding Obama, during which Kessler interjected seemingly out-of-context claims that Zullo was “a good actor” and “was going on tour” to gain support for his endeavor to expose Obama’s forgeries to the American people. At that time, Kessler referred to the CSPOA conference as “a little fiasco” but did not explain why his opinion of Zullo had changed during the eight-day period between the two interviews.

On June 18, Kessler threatened to “lock up” Zullo if ever traveled to Gilberton.

Kessler affirmed his belief in the First and Second Amendments in public statements made in response to the numerous complaints lodged about the videos.  According to several sources, Kessler has retained an attorney, who stated that Kessler would be back on the job “30 days from tonight.”

According to The Patriot News of Pennsylvania, armed Second Amendment advocates barred some people from accessing the borough meeting and “Mayor Hannon hand-selected members of the media to be admitted. Gilberton residents were given first preference to get in.”

  1. This is sounding like Chief Kessler may be having some mental clarity issues, confusion or possible short term memory loss. This just does not sound like normal behavior to me.
