“SACRIFICIAL LAMBS” OR MEN STANDING TALL?

(Apr. 30, 2013) — The Rite of Passage for young men hasn’t changed in thousands of years: between the time of adolescence and manhood is a fleeting moment where the down payment is made to insure a stable environment to continue the Family Tree extending into the future. Depending on circumstances and desires, some join up as soon as they receive their high school diploma, while others may postpone the inevitable. But one way or the other, a man must serve his country.
My generation was really messed up, thanks to the government’s handling of the Vietnam War. Nevertheless, it doesn’t change the fact that there were other avenues in which to serve one’s country besides running away with tail between legs. That being said, I expect your full attention to the following speech.
Even though it’s been 40-some years since I proudly saluted Old Glory for the last time while in uniform, I have continued to uphold my Oath to the Constitution that we all took, thus assuring common ground between Veterans and active duty troops, a chain unbroken to our fidelity to the document that makes our great land what it is.
Storm clouds have been brewing on the horizon for over 1,400 years and, starting with the last century, have overflowed into our daily lives as inexorably as the sun rising in the East and setting in the West, which is an apt description of what is going on today.
Some philosophical viewpoints are benign, while others are polar opposites. Take, for instance, the belief in Isolationism and that of an ever-expanding (overt) forceful idea that a common thought (within a defined geographical border) isn’t going to cut the mustard if the people next door don’t have the exact same world view. Eventually there will be a clash, a skirmish, a line drawn, a front marked out, a map with the two sides painted in different colors. One side doesn’t respect borders, or maps, or a different philosophic viewpoint different from their own.
And therein lies the dilemma of Western Civilization against the onslaught of Islam. The West has no desire to conquer Muslim lands, yet the Muslims have an insatiable appetite for expansion. The expansion isn’t for tangible assets such as silver or gold; its goal is to silence free thought, freedom of expression, and women having the same rights in a court of law as men have.
The troops of today are nothing more than sacrificial lambs being led to slaughter, and if you don’t believe me, I suggest you all go over, once again, the Rules of Engagement for our troops in any Muslim country, specifically Afghanistan. LTC Terry Lakin was another casualty of the Western/Islam clash, as was Ambassador Stevens. The civilian deaths on 9-11 were just the beginning of the atrocities that will occur in our country; count on it.
Just because your Commanders may have turned their backs on their Oath does not, in any way, shape, or form absolve you of acting on illegal orders. You all should have stood up as one voice when LTC Terry Lakin was forbidden to present his defense during his Court Martial, but you didn’t. I would have, and yes, I probably would have gone to the brig, but, and pay attention now, an overwhelming majority of the troops would have stood shoulder to shoulder with me at the same time. You didn’t then, but you must now, because our country needs you to take that step forward. You have hundreds of thousands of veterans and millions of civilians who will stand side by side with you, shoulder to shoulder, in expelling the Muslim usurper de facto president Obama. Together, acting as a cohesive unit, honoring OUR OATH, we will take our country back.
Dismissed, and Thank You.
