“IT BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP”

According to Wikipedia, the M1 Abrams tank is “well armed and heavily armored.”

(Jan. 27, 2013) — Welcome to the age of computers, and aren’t we lucky? Yes and no, I suppose, but in this particular instance it’s an emphatic “Yes!”

Okay, we all want all the weapons we can afford. Personally, I’d like to have an M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank sitting in my driveway, a AH-1W SuperCobra helicopter on my back yard, and 50 caliber machine-gun bunkers surrounding my property. But I can’t afford them, so I’m not going to even mention the attack submarine, the carrier, or the frigate.

So let’s get real. I can’t afford those above items.  Heck, I can’t even afford a $10,000 personal automatic weapon device (Tommy gun), but I may be able to afford a couple of “assault weapons” in the future; you know, the ones on Feinstein’s list. So here’s my proposal:

Go down to your neighborhood gun store and lay down $1 for the future purchase of a weapon of your choice when you acquire the proper funds. It’s called a “Layaway Plan” and, the way I envision it, has no expiration date. Maybe you move, or buy somewhere else at some other time, so you may lose a dollar; so what? At least you’ll be on record as having the PROVEN INTENT to purchase such a weapon, so if stupid Feinstein’s Anti-Second Amendment Bill passes, at least you’ll be able to purchase the weapon legally and the seller will have complied with the law.

There will be a computer record of the monetary transaction of your purchasing the weapon, maybe not in full, taking the philosophy from the “journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”  In this case it’s the first dollar of the full purchase price. Think about it.
