Dear XXXXX and XXXXXX:
Blumenthal, Murphy and their ilk do not believe that it is each American’s responsibility to defend him or herself, but that is exactly what the Founders had in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment. We cannot depend on government employees, including the police, to protect us. They arrive after tragedy strikes, not before. If there had been one teacher or administrator with a concealed handgun at Sandy Hook, virtually all, if not every single person killed on December 14, would be alive today.

Citizens also take responsibility for their own protection against terrorists and other criminals.
Parents in Israel have provided “volunteer armed security” to keep their children safe. Why cannot that be done here to prevent more senseless deaths?
Short of that, why not utilize members of the Connecticut National Guard, who are already paid for?

Amidst the grief and agony of the parents and relatives of the innocent children and adults killed at Sandy Hook, Obama and his accomplices in Congress are planning on passing an assault weapons ban: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/18/obama-assault-weapons-ban_n_2323764.html which will accomplish absolutely nothing. Criminals do not care about laws, whether local or federal. Criminals break laws and murder at will. If Obama cannot get his way in Congress, as is his wont, he will most likely sign an executive order to ban the assault weapons and/or take away Americans’ firearms. I am sure the Connecticut legislature is now planning something similar.
We all know what happened when Hitler disarmed the German people. My husband and I are legally armed and will not give in to a tin-pot dictator like Obama who cares nothing for the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and has “fundamentally transformed” this nation into a third-world gulag where an increasing number of people have turned to the government for subsistence. Following the January 1, 2013 sequestration and subsequent increase in layoffs, unemployment and a new recession are expected to cause even more misery.
There is overwhelming evidence that Obama did not win the 2012 election, or the 2008 election, for that matter, but rather, utilized people willing to rig enough touch-screen voting machines to change the outcome of an election which, by many reliable analysts, should have been won easily by Romney amidst high unemployment, the Benghazi debacle, rise in violence in general, dictatorial executive orders which have hidden Obama’s personal records from view, and a treasonous Congress which refuses to investigate Obama’s obviously fraudulent “birth certificate” as declared by the Maricopa County, AZ Cold Case Posse: http://www.mcsoccp.org/joomla/
As sovereign citizens, we cannot wait for the government to rescue us; rather, we must defend ourselves at every moment of the day and night. That includes our children and grandchildren. If government schools cannot guarantee their charges’ safety, then they should close.

Editor, I believe you speak for all of us Patriots when you voice your real and founded concerns about the current government’s disdain for the Constitution.
Congress is just as culpable as Obama and his cabinet, as is every contemptible judge in the legislative branch who has ruled against the good citizens and for the usurper.
Who, we ask, really has “No Standing?”, a Constitutionally eligible candidate for President, or a sleazy manifestation of a Muslim Sharia endorser rat-fink who has had the impudence of pushing a FAKE Birth Certificate upon the American people, even while LTC Terry Lakin was rotting in prison for asking to see the exact same thing?
But none of this nightmare could have even got up from the ground floor if it weren’t for our traitorous mainstream media who has failed, and continues to fail, to report the Truth.
I wouldn’t have thought that Truth would be such a short and valued commodity, but it is, and getting to be rarer and, thusly, more valued as time goes by, because it is indeed a race, a race of Freedom vs. Tyranny.
