The Perfect President

SOMEONE WILLING “TO PUT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE”

by OPOVV, ©2012, Presidential Candidate

General George Washington was commander of the Continental Army during the American Revolution and became the first United States President

(Sep. 6, 2012) — Like most of us, I tuned in to the Presidential conventions and, like you, I was just as bored, and also totally perplexed at seeing people cheer and stomp their feet, and for what? Not who, but what? So it got me to thinking about the “what”: what really, truthfully, would make the “Perfect President”?

Forget about the unblemished “I married my high school sweetheart.” Discard the straight “A” student since pre-school. Reject “I’ve been in public office for years.”

I’m looking for a regular guy who doesn’t give a hoot about “presidential libraries and legacies.” I’m searching for someone who enlisted in the United States military and got out of it with a Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge, at the least. I’m looking for the PERFECT IMPERFECT CANDIDATE.

A person who never chased money, but did chase knowledge. A person who spent years going to colleges and universities all over America, not for the pursuit of a degree, but for the access to different libraries.

Someone who maybe came back from a war a little messed-up, drank too much but was lucky enough never to have been issued a DUI. A divorce or two. Had many different jobs from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Someone who’s been around the block. Someone who doesn’t give two cents what others think of him: it’s what he thinks of himself that’s important. Someone who admired Martin Luther King and lives the motto “Judge a man by the content of his character.”

Someone who can’t be bought off. Millions? Billions? Trillions? Take a hike, Jack, and don’t let the door hit you on your way out.

We need someone, who by the strength of his character that was forged in his love and devotion to the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, to lead our Nation back into the sunshine; no “back-room deals,” no compromising for the sake of expediency. We need a person who is willing to put his life on the line for America, that’s all. Just a real honest-to-God Patriot who will, and let there be not a shadow of a doubt, do whatever it takes to get the job done.

  1. First, Cudos to Sharon for publishing this Editorial, it is refreshing to see something resembling Honesty and Truth even if it is NOT “Politically Correct”.
Second, an “OORRAAUUGGHH!”, for the man willing to speak without a “Forked Tongue”, and is willing to make a factual statement.
I, have posted many times, the fact that there are “NO Presidential Candidates” that are being considered, ONLY Ignored, and the results will be just more “SMOKE, MIRRORS ‘n POLI-TIX!”.
The most Glaring Omission by either of our “Presidential Candidates” is nothing about “The Constitution”, or “ONE Nation, Under GOD, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for ALL!”, or “Freedoms, Liberties and Pursuits of Happiness”, or “IN GOD, WE TRUST!?”
    B. Franklin said: “WHAT you have here is a REPUBLIC, if, IF, You can keep it!” OOHH, REALLY!?
Instead, what we have are arguments as to whether “GOD” should be mentioned in the Platform of a Political Party, and an ensuing disagreement as to “WHY??!!”
And the “SHEEPLE” of this Nation are willing to accept this kind of “DIATRIBE”, as “Business as Usual??”.
ONLY in “‘DA United SOCIALIST STATES ov AmeriKa!”
‘Ya’All Asked ‘Fer IT, and NOW ‘Ya’All may ‘GIT IT!!
    “VELCOMEN, COMRADE!!

    1. Larry,
Two basic rejoiners were the prompts to “The Perfect President”.
The first is a philosophy of life that Bruce Lee postulated in “The Way”, at least how I understand it. Actually, if you take the most complicated social problem it can be broken down into “either/or”, “yes/no”, and sometimes you have to bite the bullet just as hard when saying “Yes” as to saying “No”.
The second prompt was to imagine myself in a row where, I too, stand proud and yell loudly and distinctly “I am Spartacus!”

      1. The “Patrick Henry Syndrome” applies here.
The “Kobiyashi Maru Test also: “The Good of the Many, Outweighs the needs of the Few, or the One!
“A Man has Only to Give of Himself for that which he Believes in!
“I am now, and forever shall be, your Friend”.
