What will Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio say to delegates from Western states on Wednesday?

(Aug. 28, 2012) — Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who conducted a ten-month investigation into the online image presented as Obama’s long-form birth certificate and declared it a forgery, has tweeted that he has “made it to the RNC,” where he said he will give “speeches over the next 2 days.”

Earlier reports said that Arpaio would speak on August 30.

Five hours previous to that tweet, Arpaio said that he was “heading into the eye of the storm, literally & figuratively,” as he traveled to Tampa, where the Republican National Convention is taking place.

Arpaio’s office commissioned the work of a Cold Case Posse to investigate Obama’s birth certificate after approximately 250 residents of his county petitioned him to authenticate it prior to Obama’s name being placed on the ballot for the November presidential election.

Lead investigator Mike Zullo has stated that he doubts Obama’s claimed birth date of August 4, 1961.  During the second press conference on the issue held on July 17, 2012, Zullo said that there is no proof that Obama’s parents are who he has said they are.

Last week, it was announced that Arpaio would be the keynote speaker to a select group of Republican delegates from Western states who will be meeting at the Lowry Park Zoo, reportedly near the elephants.
