Obama Tells Romney to be More Transparent

WHILE HIDING THE TRUTH ABOUT HIMSELF

(Jul. 10, 2012) — Since January, Obama has been urging Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, to be more “transparent.” On Sunday, the Obama campaign asked Romney to release a dozen years’-worth of tax returns as Romney’s father did when he ran for president in 1968.  Obama spokesperson Stephanie Cutter criticized Romney for “defying the long-time precedent of presidential nominees releasing multiple years of tax returns.”

Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs accused Romney of “hiding something.”  Gibbs had insisted that the short-form birth certificate posted on the internet in June 2008 was the only one available for Obama.  However, in April of last year, a “long-form” image which Obama claimed as his birth certificate was released to the public.  Both images have been reported to be forgeries by image and document experts.

Obama stated recently that if someone is running for president, “the American people know who you are and what you’ve done and that you’re an open book.”  Obama contends that Romney has money in off-shore accounts, a claim also made by Vanity Fair magazine.

But is Obama “an open book?”

On May 2, Vanity Fair ran an excerpt of a book not yet published by David Maraniss entitled Obama:  The Story, for which the author states he did “extensive research  for all of his years leading up [sic] the White House.”  However, the book has been proven to contain “composite characters” which may not represent actual events as they occurred.  Maraniss did not respond to a request from The Post & Email as to how he allegedly obtained a copy, or the original, of Obama’s birth certificate during an interview in August 2008.

While Maraniss contended that Obama was born at “Kapiolani Medical Center,” the hospital has refused to confirm the claim.  No other hospital in the country has claimed that Obama was born there.

Obama claimed in his book that his parents married in 1960, while the public story is that they married in 1961.  Which is it?

Items which Obama has refused to release include school records, college theses and transcripts, medical records, Illinois state senate and U.S. Senate records, and clarification as to whether or not he became a citizen of Indonesia as a child.

Obama was a member of the socialist “New Party” during the 1990s but did not allow that fact to become public before the 2008 election.  Instead, it was confirmed last month by Stanley Kurtz of National Review Online.

While the public story is that Obama attended Columbia University, the number of years of attendance has come into question as well as whether or not he attended Columbia at all.

Obama has released his tax returns, but the social security number he is using originating from the state of Connecticut has never been explained and is now being challenged by a presidential candidate and private investigator in Ohio.  In response to a previous lawsuit regarding the social security number Obama has been using since about 1980, a federal judge refused to allow discovery, stating that it would violate Obama’s “privacy.”

The Selective Service Administration has stated that the microfilm and original record of Obama’s registration with that department have been destroyed after the registration card was deemed a forgery by a criminal investigation conducted out of Maricopa County, AZ.  The same entity has declared that there is probable cause to believe that Obama’s “long-form birth certificate” is a forgery.  The Cold Case Posse, which conducted the investigations, has scheduled a second press conference for July 17, 2012, at 2:30 MDT to reveal a “shocking revelation” pertaining to Obama’s past.

No one has explained the lack of an embossed seal on Obama’s purported birth certificate.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s office has stated that a hard-copy verification letter confirming details in Obama’s birth record purportedly held by the Hawaii Department of Health was received but has refused to release the letter or the envelope presumably postmarked by a post office in Hawaii.  The Hawaii Department of Health has refused to comply with subpoenas to allow the inspection of Obama’s original birth record.

When the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform subpoenaed documents related to Fast & Furious, Obama’s attorney general, Eric Holder, asked Obama to invoke executive privilege in order to keep the documents secret.  Holder was then held in contempt of Congress by the entire House of Representatives both criminally and civilly.

Obama has spent the last two weekends at Camp David out of the public eye with no press pool calls, and the official White House presidential schedule does not publish his activities until just before or after they have occurred.

Democrats have laughed off the claims of forgery of Obama’s birth certificate, but Democrat dissatisfaction with Obama has been expressed with a request for a different nominee.

Instead of releasing his long-form birth certificate in response to a medical doctor and U.S. Army Lt. Colonel’s question regarding Obama’s eligibility to serve as president, Obama allowed Lt. Col. Terry Lakin to spend five months in Ft. Leavenworth. Instead, he released it on April 27, 2011, as Lakin sat in military prison.  Lakin has written a book entitled Officer’s Oath about why he was willing to sacrifice his 17-year military career to question Obama’s eligibility.

Other retired and active-duty military members have asked for verification of Obama’s eligibility but were refused.  One passed away without having received an answer.

Of “transparency,” Obama directed:

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government.  We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent.  Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing.  Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.

Government should be participatory. Public engagement enhances the Government’s effectiveness and improves the quality of its decisions. Knowledge is widely dispersed in society, and public officials benefit from having access to that dispersed knowledge. Executive departments and agencies should offer Americans increased opportunities to participate in policymaking and to provide their Government with the benefits of their collective expertise and information. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public input on how we can increase and improve opportunities for public participation in Government.

Government should be collaborative.  Collaboration actively engages Americans in the work of their Government. Executive departments and agencies should use innovative tools, methods, and systems to cooperate among themselves, across all levels of Government, and with nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals in the private sector.  Executive departments and agencies should solicit public feedback to assess and improve their level of collaboration and to identify new opportunities for cooperation.

I direct the Chief Technology Officer, in coordination with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Administrator of General Services, to coordinate the development by appropriate executive departments and agencies, within 120 days, of recommendations for an Open Government Directive, to be issued by the Director of OMB, that instructs executive departments and agencies to take specific actions implementing the principles set forth in this memorandum. The independent agencies should comply with the Open Government Directive.

This memorandum is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by a party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

This memorandum shall be published in the Federal Register.

BARACK OBAMA

Obama’s Justice Department proclaimed:

The Department of Justice is committed to achieving the President’s goal of making this the most transparent Administration in history. In the Memorandum on Transparency and Open Government, issued on January 21, 2009, the President instructed the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to issue an Open Government Directive.  The Open Government Directive directs executive departments and agencies to take specific actions to implement the principles of transparency, participation, and collaboration set forth in the President’s Memorandum.

As a result, the Associate Attorney General convened a working group of senior Justice Department staff to oversee the development of the Justice Department Open Government Plan. We have worked with each and every component within the Department to fulfill the Open Government Directive and increase openness and transparency.

Shortly after taking office, Eric Holder issued a memorandum indicating his commitment to “open government” pertaining to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.  However, the regime has failed to respond to more than one-third of requests received from the public.

Over a period of more than three months, The U.S. Department of Justice has failed to respond with any information regarding The Post & Email’s FOIA request regarding the events of April 20, 2010 in Madisonville, TN, and phone calls to inquire as to its status have not been returned.  CBS’s Sharyl Atkisson, who broke the story on Fast & Furious, has stated that many of her FOIA requests have been met with “blank pages.”

There are questions about Obama’s former relationships with convicted felons Rod Blagojevich and Rony Rezko.

If Obama’s publicly-disseminated background is false, as some claim, then he has not been transparent at all.  Increasingly, various individuals across the political spectrum as well as those seeking answers are accusing Obama of being a liar and “deceitful.“

Obama’s chief of staff insists that the Obama regime is “the most transparent ever.”
