(Jun. 14, 2012) — Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose office has conducted an investigation into Obama’s long-form birth certificate, has tweeted that he has “been subpoenaed by a Florida attorney in reference to my Obama birth certificate investigation. May have to go there to testify.”
Arpaio and Cold Case Posse lead investigator Mike Zullo submitted notarized affidavits in advance of a June 18 ballot challenge hearing scheduled to take place at the Leon County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18. Atty. Larry Klayman is representing a Democrat registered voter of Florida, and a fund has been started to support the effort to determine Obama’s constitutional eligibility in that state.
Arpaio’s 80th birthday is today, as can be noted on his Twitter feed and a photo.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) had announced an investigation into the authenticity of Obama’s long-form birth certificate last September after members of the Surprise, AZ Tea Party approached Arpaio, who has held office since 1993, with concerns that Obama might not be eligible to be on the county and state ballots. Numerous claims had been made by experts stating that the image was a forgery not emanating from an original paper document.
On March 1, 2012, Arpaio’s office announced in a formal press conference that it had found that the image purported to be Obama’s birth certificate from Hawaii was a “computer-generated forgery.” Arpaio requested the microfilm containing Obama’s birth information from the Hawaii Department of Health but was refused. Zullo, who traveled to Hawaii several weeks ago with a deputy sheriff, was refused access to the birth record purportedly on file with the Health Department.
A Verification Letter was allegedly sent to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office after Secretary of State Ken Bennett asked the Hawaii Department of Health to confirm that it possessed Obama’s original birth record and that the information on the long-form presented to the public in April 2011 matched the information on file. Bennett’s office has refused to confirm to The Post & Email that a “hard copy” of the Verification Letter was received from Hawaii although we were told that it “had been sent” more than three weeks ago. After receiving the electronic version, Bennett stated that he was satisfied that Obama was born in Hawaii and therefore met the constitutional criterion of “natural born Citizen.”
Some have argued that even if Obama had been born in Hawaii, his foreign-citizen father would disqualify him from meeting the qualification of “natural born Citizen.”
Will this be the same evidence as in the affidavit he recently submitted for the Indiana Case? (which will be resubmitted as two separate cases?) The plot gets thicker and thicker, and the Obama narrative gets ickier and ickier.
We must give Sheriff Joe some kind of a medal for his outstanding efforts when this is over. He is an Army of one! Tim
I fully anticipate that Sheriff Joe will present some NEW RECENT findings of FACT (from the Posse’s visit to Hawaii)as part of his Florida Testimony. Next week will be very interesting.
