WHY IS CONGRESS ALLOWING THIS “FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION?”

Dear Editor:

Rep. Tom Graves is serving his first term in the U.S. Congress after filling the seat left open by former Rep. Nathan Deal, who is now Georgia's governor

The following letter was sent to Rep. Tom Graves of the Ninth District of Georgia with copies to parties listed below:

Representative Graves, by FAX:

First, and most importantly, a heartfelt thank you, to you and your colleagues who voted NAY on the Deal Bill.  The bill is an enormous hoax on We the People!

But in this bill is the creation of a Super Congress/soviet politburo which runs counter to our Constitutional Representative Republic.  This new Congress is perhaps the single greatest leap to totalitarian government that we have seen during the reign of the current administration.

Hamilton states in Federalist XXI:” The people hold the whole power of the government . . .” And in our representative form of government that power has been delegated to our duly elected Representatives in the House.

While defending the construction of Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution Madison, in Federalist LVIII, stated (in paraphrase) that the House alone shall hold the purse.  Article 1, Section 7 reads in its entirety: “All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”  Does this sound like how Harry Reid is going to operate the Super Congress?  Is there anything about the Super Congress that can be construed to be constitutional?

The Super Congress removes representation by the People’s delegated advocate.  It gives equal authority to the Senate in fiscal matters.  It removes debate from the constitutional process.  Half of the membership report to lobbyists.  Its members are chosen by majority leadership.  The list that condemns this new lurch to socialism, or worse, goes on and on.

You have taken an Oath to defend the Constitution.  Now would be a good time to stand up and do so.  Make your voice heard.  Put a stop to the un-constitutional Super Congress/soviet politburo.

                                                                                                                                              For the Republic,

                                                                                                                                             M. J. Blanchard

                                                                                                                                             Oath Keeper
