(Apr. 26, 2011) — On April 22, 2011, this writer contacted Republican strategist and Fox News contributor Karl Rove via his website in regard to his statement the day before on the Sean Hannity radio program that a requirement to be president is to be “a citizen.”
Rove’s response, followed by our message sent to him, is as follows:
Barack Obama was born in Honolulu to an American mother and his birth was marked by notices in the two local newspapers, triggered by a copy of the paperwork the hospital was required to provide on all live births. Obama loves that conservatives discredit themselves by suggesting he’s not a citizen.
Trump? He applauded Barack Obama’s election and called Nancy Pelosi “the best,” condemned John McCain, called George W. Bush the worst president in history, and wrote in his book that we need a national health care system like Canada. That sound like a good Republican conservative to you?

You were incorrect when you stated on air yesterday that one of the qualifications to be President of the United States is to be “a citizen.” If that were the case, Arnold Schwarzenegger certainly could have run for and been elected President any time after he was naturalized, which was many years ago.
Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution states unequivocally that “No person, except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
The second term, “Citizen of the United States,” was a “grandfather clause” allowing those born in Great Britain who had fought the American Revolution and founded the United States to become President if they so chose. The first term, “natural born Citizen,” is a higher standard than simply “Citizen;” otherwise, it wouldn’t have been expressed differently. John Jay, the first U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice, urged the founders to include that term to ensure that the President and Commander-in-Chief had sole allegiance to the United States.
Why have you and others been covering this up for almost three years? Did you make a deal with the Democrats to hide Obama’s ineligibility? We know he is ineligible because his father was never a U.S. citizen. Therefore, the real problem is not where Obama was born but rather, his non-U.S.-citizen father.
Those who have attempted to hide the truth from the American people are being exposed more each day. Your attempt to marginalize those who seek the truth is disingenuous and very bad judgment.

Our email to Rove did not mention Donald Trump, the Republican Party, nor “conservative” principles. Rather, it dealt with the definition and meaning of the term “natural born Citizen” which appears in Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution.
It is obvious that like other high-profile pundits, news anchors and media personalities, Rove is ignoring the foreign citizenship of Obama’s father which might have allowed Obama the status of a Fourteenth Amendment citizen, but not a “natural born Citizen.” Obama admitted on his “Fight the Smears” campaign website to possessing dual citizenship at birth and termed himself a “native citizen,” although on November 30, 2007, he signed an affidavit for the state of Arizona stating that he was.
Founder of the legal organization Judicial Watch Larry Klayman has written an editorial which states that Rove favors “establishment” politicians over independents who challenge the political status quo.
A forensic document examiner, Ms. Sandra Ramsey Lines, determined that the online Certification of Live Birth could not be considered authentic.
What about Obama saying when he was in Kenya, “I’m so proud to be back home?”
With evidence like this, why do other Fox News employees adamantly insist that Obama is a U.S. citizen? How do they know?
Is the avoidance of this subject purposeful? Why does Rove insist that Obama was born in Honolulu without any evidence? How does he know? If he has proof, why doesn’t he show it to the American people to at least put that question to rest?
Whether or not Donald Trump is a good “conservative,” he is at least asking the questions which no one else in politics has had the courage to raise for the last three years. Some of his former “Apprentice” contestants have publicly supported Trump’s possible White House run.
On April 26, 2011, Trump raised the question of how Obama was accepted into Columbia University and Harvard Law School after being a “terrible student.” Some have claimed that Obama never attended Columbia or attended for less time that his life story claims.
Perhaps the mainstream media is having a “Dan Rather moment” by continuing to vouch for phony documents.

Did any one catch Glenn Beck’s rant last night about birth certificates?
How is it possible that the “smart” people, like Rove and Beck, simply can not or will not try to comprehend Article II of the constitution.
I’m not at all concerned with any birth certificate but I am curios what the real one does actually say but his African Kenya father remains the biggest problem. Not one talking head on TV will approach the father’s status as a British Subject.
But, again Beck continues to insult patriots who want to know how a British son can be declared a NATURAL-BORN AMERICAN [CITIZEN]

Obama Researcher: very well said. For what it’s worth, I was directed to this clip by a reader/commentator at another blog site. At around 1:10 or 1:15, Rove said that his White House deputy was a classmate of Barky’s. Someone should find out who this unnamed person is and interview him because, as someone who knew Barky before Chicago, Rove’s deputy is a rarity, indeed.

You did not clearly define NBC as born on the soil to 2 citizen parents. You talked about the grandfathered citizens back at the adoption. I hope you write to Rove once again. Spell it out so he has no excuse to claim ignorance. Hit him hard.

Then I usually add that Obama admits he was born a British citizen because his father was British. You can also say that Obama admits he is only a native born on the soil and Obama has never said publicly that he is a NBC except in his letters to each state to get on the ballot.
