“THE LIMIT OF LIES”
by One Pissed-off Vietnam Vet

(Mar. 25, 2011) — I’ve got this theory, and it goes like this: When you’re born, each person is given a certain amount of, well, let’s call it, for want of a better term, ‘ether.’ At one time it was the ‘ether’ that permitted radio waves, but for our discussion, we’re using the word ‘ether’ to represent a fixed amount of anything.
Actually, I came across this idea after I quit drinking. My idea was that each person is born with a certain allotment of alcohol they are allowed in a lifetime. I figured a six-pack a day for one hundred years, which, ball-parking it, is two railroad tank cars full of beer. Once you reach your allotment, you have to quit, or you die, or suffer, or something. The point is, I think, not to go to the limit. Over is bad.
Going over on other things, could be good. I knew a man whose hobby was, I think, saving money. I didn’t know it at the time, and only found out about it after he died. He lived as a miser. He had a small house in a regular neighborhood, drove a normal ten-year-old sedan, and that’s about it, but after he died they found that he was worth eight figures. Go figure. I’m sure that there are some good examples of going overboard, being polite, wishing others good fortune, and the like. I suppose Oscar Wilde said it best when he wrote “Everything in moderation, including moderation.”
Each of us has a limit on any and everything. Too much salt? Or sugar?
What about bowling? Maybe one arm becomes longer than the other. And then what about taxes? When is too much tax too much? And why can’t a tax system be fair to all, be as fair to the billionaire as it would be to the food-stamper? Well, a fair tax system can be fair to all; it’s called a flat tax. A flat tax is where everyone, including corporations, pay the same, all the time, every day. Nothing is ’written off,’ no deferments. You buy a candy bar, 10% tax. A gallon of gas. 10%. A used Lear Jet. 10%. A new twin turbo Porsche? 10%. No income tax, state or federal. No tax man.
The opposition is powerful and well-entrenched. The enemy is the whole unfair tax system that is supported by tax accountants and tax lawyers. Lawyers. The I.R.S. serving themselves at the expense of their fellow citizens. Do you think that they care a hoot for you? They want job security and power, and we give it to them, yet we have the power to put them all out the door, which is exactly what we ought to do. The time to act is upon us. We have quite a few wrongs to put right.
But the prime example of having reached the saturation point is nibbling away at what took countless generations to accomplish. We’re talking about our freedoms here. The tax man is one piece of the puzzle. Other pieces are freedom of speech and all the other freedoms which, come to think of it, aren’t really free after all. I mean, at what price is freedom?
Thousands of years and thousands of lives. Thousands of heartaches and thousands of heart breaks. Thousands of widows and thousands of orphans. It has taken a lot of effort to be able to tell the truth, but since Obama’s swearing-in, the truth is silent. Today the truth must be hunted down on the internet or heard during whispered conversations. People are afraid of their fellow citizens for, who knows, maybe someone will accuse someone else of a made-up crime and then be entertained while the police have their fun “acting on a credible tip.” Meanwhile, if the innocent “suspect” resists arrest (and, pray tell, what innocent person wouldn’t resist in an attempt to shed false charges? Taken away by excessive force, S.W.A.T. team, perhaps, all because some unidentified person falsified a truth that had nothing to do with reality. Now the innocent person faces real charges for resisting arrest, but the arrest was bogus to start. In a POLICE STATE that’s how the police operate. Guess what we live in? Truth doesn’t matter; all that counts is perception of truth. And, as in the above example, it’s not even perception but more of an excuse to use force against anyone at any time.
The first thing one learns in debating class is to never attack a person, just the person’s conclusions. For example, if you don’t like the message, kill the messenger. Alright, kill the messenger, why don’t you? So what? The message is still the same. Today’s prime example is that of the non-existent birth certificate. There is no birth certificate, so what’s with this “birther” name-calling? Calling someone a birther doesn’t address the birth certificate question. Actually, there is a birth certificate and it’s from Kenya. End of name-calling. But it’s not over, is it? Sleight of hand, take your mind away from the truth. Just hear lies. Day after day. After day.
And what about the saturation level of the lie ‘ether?’ “Stimulus” is another name for “payoff.” “Transparency” is a catch-word for closed doors. The truth is a lie and a lie is still a lie. The mainstream media dishes out portions of lies and more lies. Every day. Americans have reached the limit of lies. The fight for the truth has been fought a thousand times yet must be fought for the thousand and first. There is no other way. The cowards, the bullies, cheats and lying politicians will not, cannot, survive in the light of truth.

Stating the obvious I suppose, but along with the freeze on spending congress should have added an earmark that placed a freeze on the government and media lying to America and the rest of the world. Maybe we can just give them a “time out” like kindergartners instead? Great article, Vietnam vet!
I’ve got to say it again; instead of our brave troops working for Usurper Obama, the Military Brass who can’t tell right from wrong, and the UN, I would feel a heck of a lot better if they were all back here in America, protecting the American people from Obama and “THE ENEMY THAT IS WITHIN”. Let all of the Middle East stay ablaze with conflict… let them solve their own damn conflicts, while we begin to solve ours??? Maybe while solving their own problems they will be less focused on destroying America. Possibly they will even thin a little more evil out of the World, while fighting amongst themselves.
For Don Stevens.
The lower income people, $40,000 in our example, spend a larger percentage (almost 100%) of their income on products. That would require them to pay the VAT for their entire income. The higher income people only spend a portion of their income on products, thus a smaller percentage of their total income. I have no problem with this since I have been in the higher bracket, but calling it “fair” is not accurate.
I think that “ether” is what we bow our heads to when a crooked evil person meets an end we dare not cheer openly about. It does exist. I’ll give you an example. Remember that man in NY who was set to fire every health care worker who refused a flu shot, Richard Daines? He topped the “ether” at 60. That’s going over and what you get. As for the lies, I’m sure of only one thing. The harm that is being done will not fully impact life for a while yet but when it does the scale will be enough to set the tree of liberty up in good shape for many years to come. That’s just how it works and it’s just too bad people will learn the lesson about lies that way when it is just so much easier to not tempt fate by making a lie tolerable just because it suits a purpose. We can’t change what’s been done but we can take steps to survive the fallout. Those who know truth will know what that means.
One Pissed-off Vietnam Vet – Right Again, “beer is good”; joking aside, I see our problems as us all having reached our limit in LIES, GREED, STEALING, MURDER, DECEPTION, ETC., ETC., and nowhere is the truth to be found. I also see where the problem comes from, it is from MUSLIM STYLE GOVERNMENTS, SHARIA LAW, JIHAD, DHIMITUDE, TAQIYYA, run by Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbolla, Islamist, Jihadists, and other such militant Muslim groups, in Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, Tunisia, Jordan, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Beirut, Saudia Arabia, AND NOW IN AMERICA – WITH OBAMA, “the Kenyan guy” in our White House – TRYING TO TAKE US ALL DOWN. Their system will work here in the USA about as well as it is now working in those other above named Countries; CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT AMERICA???
Yes, absolutely, we have “reached the limit with multiple social security numbers, places of birth, hospitals of birth, lies from the Hawaii Health Department, governors, all members of Congress, and the courts.”
Toss in the gutless complicity of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Big Media and you have a huge pot of fraud and sedition that is boiling like a witch’s brew. Speaking of which, Scotland had Macbeth, and we have Soetero/Dunham/Obama. (And Michelle could pass for Lady Macbeth any day.) What a play we find ourselves in!
That’s what we’re here for citizens … to be grossly lied to and have our tax money wasted. And BTW it’s spelled “ether”.
If we have a flat tax….people making 5 million dollars a year will pay the same amount of tax as those of us making 40k a year………for us, it’ll be about 25% of our income……..for millionaires, it’ll only be like 1%……….how can that be fair?
Say meek, (well named), If both pay 10% , the guy making $40,000 pays only $4,000 tax, whereas the guy making $5,000,000 has to pay $500,000 tax. I think we have just discovered one of the reasons why we are in Big Trouble in America.
Everyone needs to consider Edward J. McCaffery’s solution in his book: “Fair Not Flat: How to Make the Tax System Better and Simpler.” It is very similar to the Nunn-Domenici “USA” or “unlimited savings accounts” plan, proposed in Congress in the mid-1990s, and he gives credit to them in the book.
The Fair Not Flat plan differs from that proposal in being more technically consistent and in substituting an actual national sales, or value added tax (VAT) for the lowest brackets of the tax. That latter change poses a huge and welcome simplification for most Americans: they’ll no longer have to fill out tax forms or file tax returns. This Fair Not Flat tax is progressive. It won’t raise tax rates on the middle classes to pay for tax reduction for the rich. You can get almost all of the benefits of these flat tax proposals—in terms of simplicity, economic efficiency, and the fairness of the tax base—without abandoning America’s longstanding and sensible commitment to at least moderate progressivity in tax burdens. The wealthy can and should pay a bit more at the margins of their luxurious lifestyles. A supplemental tax on spending for the wealthiest individuals would make the sales tax progressive. Under the system he proposes, a family of four would pay no tax on their first $20,000 in spending, and 10 percent on the next $60,000. Only the few families who spend more than $80,000 a year would be subject to the supplemental tax. Necessities would be taxed less than ordinary and luxury items. And no one would be taxed directly on savings or investments. It’s that simple.
This FNF plan doesn’t sound simple to me, and the VAT would be a nightmare. No, thanks.
Don:
“This Fair Not Flat tax is progressive.”
I’m not one to change glad to happy for the sake of political correctness, but “progressive” is one of those words that makes blood shoot from my eyes. Perhaps “graduated” is a better choice of words when it comes to new things like the VAT for the lower tax brackets? MP
“The cowards, the bullies, cheats and lying politicians will not, cannot, survive in the light of truth.”
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

Subject: Rush, PLEASE comment on BO’s NATURAL BORN CITIZEN STATUS
Keep the message simple. Here is Vattel’s simple definition of the term, Natural Born Citizen.
“The natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens…it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
