WHY IS HARRY REID DETERMINED TO PASS SUCH AN UNCONSTITUTIONAL BILL?

by Nick Fortunato

Why does Congress fail year after year to enforce our immigration laws to ensure the safety and security of American citizens?

(Dec. 9, 2010) — We are a nation of laws. People should not be rewarded in any way for their breaking of the law.

It’s true that it was the parents who broke the law and the children should not be punished for what their parents did, nor should they be rewarded for their parents’ misconduct. Should the children of bank robbers derive any benefits from the money that their parents got from robbing a bank?

Certainly if citizens and their children must conform to the laws or be punished, then illegals and their children should not receive any special consideration for their parents breaking of the law; to do so would be to exacerbate the problem.   Our legislative leaders who represent us and our law enforcement officers, who both hold us citizens accountable to obeying the laws, should not aid and abet all those who do not.  As the status of illegals is elevated, the status of  taxpaying citizens is being diminished to a lower standard.

There are those who have said, “This will be a substantial opportunity for children who are in every way like other American children other than the circumstance of their birth.” However, children all over the world are like American children except for their birth; that is an irresponsible comment to make.

I’ve read and agree with many of the recent changes made to the bill, but the criteria for acceptance should be no less than what a foreign alien applying for citizenship must undergo. Giving citizen rights to illegal invaders who have not paid their dues is a slap in the face to those immigrants who have paid a price to enter here legally.   I understand that a recent update on the bill now excludes from eligibility those with certain criminal convictions, offenses punishable by a maximum term of more than one year or three misdemeanors. Illegal social security numbers should count as a misdemeanor.

Another requirement in the bill would have applicants pay all taxes.  It is almost impossible to collect all back taxes due and fees paid out on their behalf.  Will they be held accountable for previous Emergency Room fees they were not charged? Using the IRS formula, which would apply to citizens, would they also pay interest and penalties?  The spawn of illegal invaders should not be entitled to any more privileges or benefits than would a citizen.

We must be extremely careful in legislating new laws, setting precedent, so that in the process we will not sell out the relevance and importance of citizenry, rendering it to be of no consequence.  If you can sneak your way into the country, will it be known that there are those who will help you at the expense of legal taxpaying citizens?

The bill should exclude  undocumented students from being provided with full college tuition when graduating from public or charter schools.  American citizens should not be subsidizing foreigners any more than we subsidize our own. Why discriminate for illegals and against citizens? We should not reward immigrant lawbreaking,  while punishing citizens who abide by the law.

Illegal immigrants should not be eligible for state or federal financial aid, not now, nor in the future until and unless they’ve become citizens.

Friends of ALIPAC,

The US House just passed Dream Amnesty, and they have not done anything on this scale since 1986! The last time they gave 3 million illegals Amnesty, it got us 12-20 [million illegal aliens]. Please envision what the ramifications will be for you and the nation should we fail in the defense of our nation today.

Your immediate volunteerism is needed.

Please click on the link below to access ALIPAC’s targeted Senators list. We have selected mostly Senators that are up for reelection in 2012.

Your call should be firm and passionate, but not over the top. Call, call, call, and then follow up your message by email and/or fax.

Call as many of these offices as you can, filling the voice-mails and ears of staff. Staff needs to report to Senators that angry [but not enraged ] Americans are calling in droves to OPPOSE DREAM AMNESTY CLOTURE. Call the DC offices first, then call the district offices.

“I’m calling to ask Senator _____ to vote NO on CLOTURE for the Dream Act Amnesty. I plan to make it my mission in life to throw any politician who votes for CLOTURE on this bill OUT OF OFFICE IN THE ELECTIONS! Please listen to and represent Americans, instead of illegal aliens, by voting NO on CLOTURE.”

Yes, I am ready to click this link and call the Senate using ALIPAC’s messages and targeting now (click Here)

The vote may be on Monday, or possibly at any other time that Sen. Reid considers opportune.
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) has a filibuster on it until tax breaks are confirmed for the over $250,000 income bracket.

To my way of thinking.everything that is being done by government, Federal and State are just “false flag crises” generated in hope beyond hope that the first point of order was the Election Fraud perpetrated in 2008 will go unnoticed and can be conveniently swept under the table.Fortunately for We the People and unfortunately for the criminal handlers there was a man named Walter Fitzpatrick who realized that “Houston, had a problem” and it encompassed the totality of America. It was Mr.Fitzpatrick that was the guidon
bearer of this total movement to bring sanity back to the U.S.A. and its’ Constitution.Whatever the trick of the tale, you and I will not be recorded in history, but I haven’t any doubt that Mr.Walter Fitzpatrick will.

Why should the government show total contempt for the laws of our land, would that not contribute to more contempt for not only immigration laws but all laws? I have never seen legal/illegal as interchangeable entities as some in the government are trying to promulgate. I grew up by O’Hare and have witnessed many of the sacrifices that many of our naturalized citizens have gone through to become decent, law-abiding proud Americans-on the day they were sworn in, I swear that they were glowing. American citizenship meant that much to them-because we were near O’Hare just think of any country on the planet-this is how divergent they were-all spoke English. War brides-our GI’s are popular overseas, those escaping dictatorships, those who assisted Americans in war-torn countries and much, much more.

The DREAM Act is, in plain and simple ENGLISH, voter registration fraud.

Nick! Fantastico that you are writing here. Man. Anyway, gotta tell you. Now, the info that illegal immigrants are using phony social security numbers to file a tax return in order to get the earned income tax credit. This simply underscores the point. The likelihood of additional criminal behavior is greater by coming here illegally in the first place.

Nick… I almost fell out of my chair when I read the opening line of your article… “We are a nation of laws.” One thing stands true in those words, our government appears exempt.

I believe the whole immigration issue is more physiological warfare by the government on law abiding citizens to continue to get under our skin.

Either way, I’m not in favor of any congress critter action that encourages illegal aliens a path to citizenship. What I am for is one way tickets for them back to “their homeland,” including the one still sitting in the White House.
