TELLS HIM TO KEEP HIS WORD TO NEVADANS
Dear Editor:
I am a nine-year resident of Nevada and have just e-mailed Senator Harry Reid the following:

Senator Reid:
As a Viet Nam-era veteran I am concerned about the need current military members have for trained medical surgeons.
One such currently active surgeon, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, is going to be court martialed because the alleged Commander-in-Chief has not provided proof of his Constitutional eligibility to act as such. Since on multiple occasions during his military service, Lt. Col. Lakin has had to provide his certified birth certificate and other documents, Obama can certainly do the same.
Due to your intimate rapport with and support of Obama, you could assure him that he would suffer no financial damages in procuring the requisite documents from the State of Hawaii. I, along with countless others, would be more than willing to pay the fee, which is in the neighborhood of $15 to $20.
Certainly, this information would convince not only Lt. Col Lakin but millions of others who doubt that Obama is constitutionally eligible to serve. It would free up another much-needed, experienced surgeon for the active military members who are being stationed in harm’s way. It would also serve to diminish the divisiveness that permeates the U.S. today.
You would gain a great deal of good will from the voters in Nevada by actively promoting adherence to the Constitution which you have sworn to uphold.
I think a religious hymn best sums up what your course of action should be: “Choose the Right.”
I know that Nevada’s voters will certainly exercise their option in the upcoming election, i.e., we will “Choose the Right.”

Thanks to Harry Reid and Pelosi the DNC will forever be known as the party that will nominate anybody for president.
I don’t think Harry Reid and The Truth have ever been introduced.
Harry Reid is the one who delivered the news to Obama that the Democratic establishment had chosen him to run for POTUS over the other candidates. He was one of the first to “vet” Obama. He was among the ones who took the decision to ignore the Constitution and manipulate everybody over the eligibility issue.
Great letter and love the ending. However, I feel that ole Harry will just ignore it as he did the American people’s voices over healthcare. Harry’s and Nancy’s first priority is to protect Obama as they help him destroy this great country that the writer of this letter fought for, along with others long passed away to those in the present wars in Afghanistan & elsewhere. While many in DC demonize our military, let it be known that the majority of the American people do not. Many of us know that those in our military are the best of the best that this country has to offer, bar none. Thank you for your service!
When you hear the term… NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Think about this…
The Constitution requires that the President shall be a natural-born citizen of the United States, or a citizen at the time of the adoption of the Constitution. This is an important restriction, when we consider the sacredness of the trust committed to the charge of the Executive. It will be useless for ambitious foreigners to intrigue for the office, as this qualification of birth cuts off all those inducements from abroad, to corruption, negotiation, and war, which have frequently and fatally harassed the elective monarchies of other countries. But, through the bloody struggle of the American Revolution, our fathers were greatly assisted by the aid of many citizens who were natives of other countries. They had espoused our cause, fought and bled in our interests, had become naturalized citizens, and had proved their attachments to our institutions beyond all doubt. It would have been ungenerous and ungrateful to have excluded this class of citizens from all possibility of attaining to any office, however exalted, under a government which they had sacrificed so much to establish. Hence this saving clause of the Constitution, that, if a person was a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of that instrument, he became eligible to the Presidency. But, by the lapse of time, this clause has become practically obsolete.

The “natural born citizen” qualification for the office of the President has never been ammended, since it was penned as a qualification for the office of the President. Therefore, it is as much in force today, as it was when it was penned into the Constitution.
The usage of the term “natural born citizen” in qualification for the office of the President, in the Constitution, requires the term to have an effect on the qualifications for the office of President.
Chief Justice Marshall gave the opinion in Marbury vs Madison:
It cannot be presumed that any clause in the constitution is intended to be without effect; and therefore such construction is inadmissible, unless the words require it. [5 U.S. 137, 175]

Obsolete? Witness now first time ever we have a non-natural born citizen acting as the president and what happens? — destruction of America from within! Anyone with a little bit of common sense can see this! This indeed proves how insightful our founding fathers were! How else can we be sure that a person has sole allegiance to USA but by ensuring that he/she is born on US soil to 2 US citizen parents? We cannot be sure of a candidate’s character but we can be reasonably sure of his/her allegiance if he/she is a nbc. Obama is not an nbc and look what a domestice enemy we have now! The Constitution is very clear on this. Until it is amended it must be observed. You sir, NUTN2SAY, should never be a judge as legislating from the bench you surely will!
I think Nutn2say was referring solely to the so-called “grandfather clause” of Article II Section 1 Clause 5 as being “obsolete”, given the number of years that have passed.
