Spread the love

Editorial by Doug Cook

(Dec. 4, 2009) — Let us recall what John Fitzgerald Kennedy said, on January 20, 1961 said: “And so, my fellow Americans: Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”

The liberty of “freedom of choice”

flagWhat can you do for your country? You have a world of choices in how you can effect the direction your country will take. Bet on it.

Go buy yourself a US flag, hang old glory where everyone can see it. That star spangled banner is an inspiration. It is your unequivocal expression of your faith in God and country.

It can not be understated how much this simple gesture empowers you and sends an unimpeachable message of your patriotism. While your at it, get a Gadsden flag too. “Do Not Tread On Me” is pretty darn clear.  These two items of patriotic expression carry the weight of 234 years of Constitutional Law and more years than that of Liberty and Self-Determination. Ain’t a soul on earth who can stand against to this. No one. Bet on it!

The pen is mightier than the sword

You would not be reading this if this wasn’t so. The power of the written word is a time honored tradition. Something you can do easily.

You know those message boards on blogs and news websites? Those are revolutionary, not only because it gives everyone an opportunity to speaks their mind, but also because they are revolutionary in nature. You can bet your sweet bippy they are read by very many people that do not want you to speak your mind. Give it to them but good. Fight for your country.

Have your doubts you don’t have anything to say? Your reading this. I’m a coal miner, my job is to weld on mining equipment. I drive a 20 year old Chevy pick up, and my education stopped in the 8th grade. I’m writing because of my belief in this place called The United States of America.  I’m a regular guy. Nothing special about me, but I live in a special place and you do too.

There is nothing stopping you. The editor of this News organization offered me an opportunity to become a regular contributor after I sent in a letter I wrote about my country and its people. I did this because I was looking for a way to become an active patriot. I consider it the least I can do. There are thousands and thousands of Patriotic Citizens of our great Republic who have the belief and courage to go in Harms Way, shedding blood and dying. Hows all that for democracy in action? This is freedom at work.

I liken the New Media as the pointy end of the spear of our country’s destiny. And if the amazing quantity and quality of news, opinion and blogging is any indication, it is a terribly sharp spear. Read, read one book. An inspirational one that is about our great and noble Country’s history and who we are. Not sure what to pick out. I recommend “The 5000 Year Leap” by W. Cleon Skousen,  “Going Rogue” by Sarah Palin, and “The Federalist Papers” You will be inspired and become an inspired person. It will lift your spirit to the next level. It will empower you. I guarantee it.

God and country

Our great nation is founded on the wonderful human tenets of Judeo-Christian beliefs, Judaism and Christianity; the best of the best was taken and used as an inspiration and bedrock for creating our Laws, Liberty’s and Freedoms. What is the 3 free-est places on Earth? Israel, the U.S. of A., and Great Brittan. The English gave the world the Magna Carta and Habeus Corpus, arguably the most important concepts of Freedom and Liberty in human history.  These things led to the US Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

You wouldn’t, we wouldn’t be here if it was not for these things. Bet on it. If you have the slightest doubt consider what the treasonous and anti liberty ones are attempting to take away from you or destroy so you will not have the power to determine how to live your life.  If you understand this you have the power my friend. The power to see the wisdom of history, and the power to see your future. The power to make things happen.

Put your money where your heart is

In the blog-sphere there is talk of a movement created to unifying  funding for the movement.

This idea has great merit, it has everything going for it. The idea is to have a central political entity with the money to effect the needed changes to politics as usual.

Money is power, it is the power to get things done. Our Patriots on the front lines need money. Money is just as important as every other Patriotic tool. Not just for the little things like staples and pens and paper, money to support Constitutionally orientated candidates running for elective office. We need these Patriotic people in our government. It is everything. It is what works. The axiom “It takes money to make money”translates in our case into “It takes money to have Liberty! No money no Freedoms, lots of money lots of Freedoms! It is really that simple.

It takes serious cash to compete in the public arena of politics. If a lot of people contribute a meager amount into one big fund, now your talking the kind of serious bucks it takes to do this right. How about $100 dollars? $100 donated by 1 million Patriotic people? There are many many more out in flyover land of dis-enchantment than 1 million. A million donations equals $100,000,000 dollars. In English this is 100 million dollars! 5 million donations works out to ONE HALF A BILLION. I’m not screaming, I’m totally physc’d!

A cool 500 million dollars. Now we’re talkin’, we are going places and kickin’ serious butt. Counting coupe on the traitors to the Flag.  If you think $100 is too much to risk, think about this; with the current laws agendas and legislation assaulting or way of life and Liberty, not only are these things going to put a serious hurtin’ on your life, they are going to cost you way more than 1 Benjamin.

How about $100 for a tank of gasoline, $100 for a bag of groceries? $100 a week for electricity? $100 for you and your spouse to eat at Mabell’s Diner? That is what you will be paying. Bet on it!

My bet is $100 for Liberty and Prosperity. $100 is the best money I ever spent. I pledged $100 to Freedom Force, and as soon as the pledge turns into donation time, I’m putting $200 in the kitty because there are folks who are broke, flat busted because of the people my money is going to boot out of office.

There, but for the grace of God and country, I go

This is my story and I’m stickin’ to it. This is my country and I’m fightin’ for it! It will be a cold day in hell before anyone takes my flag, takes my way of life, our Liberty or our Freedom or our Prosperity. No ones takin’ nothin’ if I have anything to do with it. In fact if I have anything to say in this it is going to be all put back. Bet on it! I’m betting on my fellow Americans.

God Bless America!

  1. ” ask what you can do for your country.” ‘Without debate, without criticism, no administration and no country can succeed — and no republic can survive’. JFK.
There is no comparison between our President Kennedy and Obama. President Kennedy encouraged dissent, Obama quashes it. On that terrible day in November when President Kennedy was assassinated the entire world stopped for three days out of genuine respect for a person who respected his fellow man, his country, his Constitution -he stood up for all that is best in the American spirit and its ideals. President Kennedy as a bonus was a natural born citizen-something that Obama no matter how he tries to lie, evade, change, scrub web-sites can never be due to his father a Kenyan student. The entire world knows this-our friends and allies and our enemies-everyone in fact except our government. You have to wonder this is America’s leadership? I don’t think they should be in charge of the Good Ship Lollipop. Stupid, inept, treasonous? Hard to tell at this point.
“Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own. ” My favorite President Kennedy quote.
Compared to Obama President Kennedy was an arch-conservative, very respectful of the taxpayers money and he helped create our gigantic middle class-the back bone of our country.
Obama the audacity of comparing himself with President Kennedy or any other President is outrageous.
