Martin Richard was the youngest of three people killed at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. His younger sister, who had just received a medal for a race, lost a leg, and his mother was severely injured in the head from the shrapnel ejected from the bombs allegedly ignited by two radical Islamists from Kyrgyzstan
