The DSA, the DNC and other unaffiliated Socialists and Communists are putrefying political discourse with class warfare talking points. They are turning poorly educated Gen S-ers and Z-ers into a puree of disassociated, America-hating opportunists who want what others have rather than taking the time to take stock of their own skill set and interests to see how they can exploit them to support themselves financially. For them, I am going to lay out some exceedingly simple, foundational definitions that are not developed in prejudice or ideological bent. They are immutable facts and truth.
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is determined as a postmortem after December 31st of any given year and not at the start. It is not a finite pie to be divided up at the beginning of the year. The GDP is an unknown quantifiable on January first and not finite in size or scope. If it was definable, nearly everyone in the stock market would make money because most of the unknowables would be established fact.
Given that simple point, literally every single American citizen wakes up with the exact same opportunity: to consider what you have, what you want and to make a plan on how to achieve it, i.e., “the pursuit of Happiness.” You can either simmer in your self-made stew of envy and hate or reconsider your past decisions and improve your lot in life. But do not be confused; you are where you placed yourself.
Nowhere in any Scripture, Inscription, Edifice, Monolith, Parchment, Paper, or Ethereal Utterance spanning the entirety of human history has there ever been the promise of an equitable outcome. There are so many factors well beyond our control governing how our lives will unfold, and it is usually hindsight that allows us to see the how and why. BUT, up front I tell you that no billionaire has caused a single one of us to fail in our desired goals. Only men who seek to change our uniquely American understanding of Individual Sovereignty and the Rights/Philosophical Limbs we are divinely endowed with stand to adversely affect our equal opportunity to try.
Socialism and Communism seeks to coalesce power and to create an equitable distribution of the wealth accumulated in any given year expressed as the GDP at the end of the year. In so doing, not only are they stealing from those who saw gain from work and gambled investments, but to then supposedly redistribute those stolen funds to those who in too many instances have not worked, by choice. It also robs initiative from those who are quite naturally struggling to find their own way in this world which is an even greater travesty.
Truisms:

- Not everyone is going to see financial wealth. Wealth shouldn’t be the goal. It is sometimes a consequence of success, but if you are measuring success by bank account size, you have missed the point of life. And the graveyards are filled with people who had wealth but didn’t take one red cent into the ground with them.
- College is not the place “to find yourself” or your spouse, your career or anything of value. Like most things in life, college is only a step towards a predetermined goal that requires college training and the upper 90% of jobs don’t require college. Take that money and bank it, if you have it.
For those of you just starting college, you still have a chance to learn from those malcontents who have come before you. You can follow their lead and delve into the long list of Stick-it-to-the-Man indoctrination, Gender Studies or even the always popular Underwater Mess Kit Repair, or seek something Employers and Customers actually need, or better yet, develop your innate skill set.
- You are unique. You did not become unique; you were born unique. Hopefully you have witnessed certain strengths and interests and/or the adults around you have indicated what they have witnessed in you. Exploit them. Train them. Study them. Discover where they will have value in society. DO NOT judge yourself by what you perceive others’ “success” is when some of them don’t appear to be as gifted. There are surely other external factors at work. You-do-you.
- The Law of Supply and Demand. They are both immutable, external and beyond your control. It isn’t billionaires who are keeping money from you. It is the demand for your product, your skill, your marketing or where you live that are keeping you from being successful. It isn’t a question of fair because logically, we all do the same thing. So when I choose a DeWalt drill instead of a Milwaukee, is it reasonable to float the idea of an equity tax to help Milwaukee employees because of my selfish choice?
Rhetorical.
Your employer pays you based on a very complex spreadsheet of costs which contribute to the retail price of the widgets you make. But the actual price is set by customers who tell you what it’s worth to them. If it’s more expensive than the competitor’s, too red, too heavy or too hard to repair, they will buy the competitor’s widget, your company will shutter and your job and income will evaporate. When you decide on Taco Bell vs McDonalds, Coke vs Pepsi, Ford vs Dodge you have consequently denied someone an income. It is natural, healthy, free and for costly for someone, for the one you choose gratifying. Billionaires didn’t do that; you did; we all do it multiple times every day.
- No one owes you recovery for your failed attempts at the pursuit of your dreams. No one robbed you, no one coerced you, no one denied you. If anyone could be held accountable it is those academics, counselors and even your parents who gave you poor guidance and sold you a product that doesn’t live up to the sales pitch. I even see the makings of a class-action lawsuit.
- Home ownership is not a Right; it is a Pursuit. You think the deck is stacked unfairly against you? My father was 30 years old in 1959 before he could convince a bank to loan him $1,000.00 so he could build a small ranch-style home. My mother told me they never had more than $1,000.00 in the bank. Ratchet forward 28 years and I was 33 years old in 1987 before I could convince a bank to write a portfolio mortgage on a crippled, 140-year-old house for 89K at a whopping rate of 13% at a time when the best rate was 10%. Your experience is not unique! As of today, 09/14/2026, a 30-year fixed rate is 6.87%.
A final bit of enlightenment: if you have chosen to support any of these transparently self-centered socialists/communists as your standard-bearers, you are not a visionary, an altruist or a freedom fighter. You are the useful fool of the moment, a common thief and a modern-day slaver.
Fossils like Sanders or Che Guevara wanna-be’s like Mamdani, El Sayed, AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Chevalier all have something in common: none of them have ever worked. They are all rich and have never walked their talk. They haven’t peeled off one cent of their ill-gotten gain to help you or anyone. All they have done is seed and water hate and discontent.
Conclusion: Stop complaining and plotting theft and start working! If you must seek retribution and recovery, seek it from those who sold you a faulty product and unsustainable ideology: your parents, counselors, professors and teachers who guided you off the financial cliff.
