Dear Editor,
Donald Trump will be thanked in years to come for taking the fight up to Iran; however, Donald Trump may well be pilloried for fighting a limited war (bringing limited, or no victory)!
That said, the leaders of all NATO countries who have not gone to the US president’s aid against Iran should be condemned!
During World War II, and again during the Cold War, America came to the Free World’s aid!
Perhaps Donald Trump should have heeded the words of Ernest Hemingway:
“Once we have a war there is only one thing to do. It must be won. For defeat brings worse things than any that can ever happen in war.“
