(Jun. 2, 2026) — When you have a brain function like mine does, you tend to collect seemingly superfluous, disconnected factoids that sometimes remain dormant for years or even decades.
One of those has surfaced recently, sparked by the emergence of a troubling element within the younger generations who have become enamored with Communism. That fact was delivered to me by a history professor at Salem State College in the Spring of 1978. As an introduction to a segment on the American Revolution, he said, “There have been three great Revolutions which fundamentally changed the World; the American, the French and the Russian. All others have been poor excuses for elections.”
The Russian Revolution broke with the philosophy undergirding both the American and the French which put a premium on individual sovereignty, while the Russian Revolution leaned on Karl Marx and the manifestation of his vision led by Vladamir Lenin. Marx promoted the concept of an equitable distribution of work, product, wealth and services with a focus on Collectivism (think Hillary’s, “It takes a village”). Within this system there are two castes/strata which ultimately divide every single historical attempt to build on Marx’s vision: a working class/proletariat/the “disenfranchised,” and gatekeepers/intelligentsia/the opportunists. The former is the absolute vast majority of the population, at best described as subjects or vassals and the latter as prison guards/tyrants.
Best estimates are that nearly 170,000,000 people have been slaughtered by the various Communist regimes over the span of its history. It is only arrogance, ignorance and deceit which allow its promoters to think it can be done better.
The promises that give rise to support for these shifts away from personal autonomy and toward collectivism are always the same: the promise of free stuff. Now we can debate how a former prosperous nation that promised the universal individual freedom to aspire can become so debased as to demand its government steal from one group to redistribute to another, but in every single example of such behavior spanning the entire history of mankind, those amoral, self-centered rats eventually turn on each other as they imagine one of their own having three morsels more than them.
Out of this festering boil promoted as a seeking-justice movement, we see one political party elevating Jealousy to equitable redistribution, Crime as a reasonable response to disparity, established Rights as archaic, National Sovereignty as racist and jingoistic, Individualism as unsympathetic, Success as theft, Disagreement as unforgivable. And out of this successful, decades-long indoctrination rises a turd like Graham Platner! The DNC and the entire Democrat bench have been all too happy to support him either with enthusiastic public pronouncement or by characteristic leftist cowardice and strategic situational ethics.
Yes, my adopted home has gone full-on Mass/NJ/NY/VT/CA/IL. It protects illegal aliens in defiance of federal law, 100% international congruity and common sense. They obstruct, promote anarchy, openly hate LEOs, and are poised to vote for an avowed Communist in direct conflict with the first oath Graham Platner took. If he could so quickly and readily dismiss the core tenets of the oath he swore when he joined the Marine Corps, what gives anyone confidence he will uphold it should he prevail and swear to it again?

You can thank the largely communist/anarchistic/amoral public school system and college indoc camps for this putrefying of American society! Just like the intelligentsia that poisoned the masses in Russia in 1917, the university crowd, taught/indoctrinated by their communist professors here, have poisoned enough of the last three generations that they are poised to and exuberant at the idea of performing their own self-destructive act as did the Russians.
These countries gave in to their base urges and were governed under the heavy hand of Communism until it collapsed in 1989: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic (formerly part of Czechoslovakia), East Germany (German Democratic Republic), Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Current Communist nations include China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea and Laos. Are any of these the model which Graham Platner and his history-deprived sycophants want to emulate? Not rhetorical…Ironically, the 1994 “Free Trade” capitulation promoted and enacted by Democrats gave China, Vietnam and Laos the monetary infusion they needed to continue their own degradation by self-immolation. Otherwise, they too would have abandoned Communism by now.
Additionally, these countries dabbled with it before abandoning it: Afghanistan (1978–1992), Cambodia (1975–1979/1989), Mongolia, Yemen (South Yemen), Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Somalia and Grenada (1979–1983). It’s almost comical that the Party and its sycophants who scream about “No Kings” so excitedly support those who would take away the freedoms they do have.
Graham Platner is a LIAR! He tells leftists he is just a working stiff like those whose ears he fondles when in fact he was brought up in a Leftist/Elitist/Comfortable/”White Privileged” home. His oyster “business” is as much a business as the average Maine hunter/sport fisherman/reloader’s pastime is a business. He is an unhinged, oath-breaking Communist. In contrast, his history of social media commentary pales in comparison.
By the way, the skull and crossbones tattoo is NOT specifically Nazi even if they adopted it as ideological iconography. War fighters since time immemorial have emblazoned it on equipment and their bodies. Going after ANY war fighter who has a skull and crossbones tattoo harkens back to the shameful and unforgivable treatment of US Marine Scout Snipers in 2012 by cowardly Politruk officers and the media simply because of the font they chose to emblazon SS/Scout Sniper in tattoos.
One of those Marines committed suicide over the treatment, public humiliation and destruction of his career because of a non-issue.
I believe there is an exceedingly hot spot in hell for all those who destroyed those Marine war fighters just to support the equally horrendous COIN Operation initiated by another Democrat, Barack Hussein Obama. That same spot awaits Graham Platner for sullying his oath if he doesn’t repent of this. Matt 5: 34-37 is in essence a warning to all of us who take oaths and then fail to uphold them.
Communism is entirely antithetical to the ideals underpinning the US Constitution. The oath we and Graham Platner swore to is firstly to defend that document, which ultimately defends the very concept and existence of the United States and its people, the sovereign citizens.
If Graham Platner doesn’t know that, then he is entirely unfit to hold any elected office anyway – period!
