(May 26, 2026) — In the wake of the U.S. conducting “defensive airstrikes” against Iran in the midst of a tenuous ceasefire on Monday, President Trump will reportedly host his entire cabinet at Camp David on Wednesday.
As of Tuesday just after 4:00 p.m. EDT, the White House had not issued a formal statement or announcement about the upcoming meeting, nor did Trump address what some see as a deteriorating situation between the two countries.
As recently as Monday, the administration appeared optimistic an agreement on Iran’s possession of nuclear materials to build weapons would emerge, possibly bringing an end to the conflict which has involved the greater Middle East and caused angst throughout the global economy.
Trump has said his administration is not rushing toward any agreement with Iran. “It’s either going to be a good deal or there isn’t going to be one,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday.
Trump was very active on Truth Social over Monday and Tuesday, painting a picture of what an Iranian surrender might resemble.
On Tuesday afternoon, a lengthy post speculated that “if Iran surrenders,” members of the mainstream media which Trump has previously called out for biased reporting “will headline that Iran had a Masterful and Brilliant Victory over The United States of America, it wasn’t even close” [sic].
At 4:47 p.m. EDT, Trump announced the cabinet will not travel to Camp David due to expected poor weather. The cabinet meeting, he wrote, will take place at the White House as with previous ones.

Think about it. On the one hand, you have the fanatical supporters of the Oct. 7 massacre and on the other you have a follower of the Golden Rule.
It’s a tough one. There remains only one possible solution: one lives while the others don’t.
